  • UPDATE: Check out our new and improved Nissan Elgrand conversion here: • Nissan Elgrand Camperv...
    This is part two of our Nissan Elgrand campervan conversion. This is a very simple conversion that doesn’t require a fancy workshop.
    We’ve kept the middle seats in, so we can still carry additional passengers.
    Our van has been converted in a way that it can easily be reverted to a people mover.

      Thanks. we really love our Elgrand. Going to try some winter camping soon, be interesting to see how that goes!

      Nomad Life Kiwi hope it goes well! Have you insulated or anything? We converted a Ford Transit a few years ago and that was great, even in a storm! We are now wanting a daily driver (7 seater) that can double as a summer get away vehicle. We will be travelling with our two children (2 and 7) so are thinking we might need to buy a roof top tent too! Not too sure yet :)

      @@Triill88 nope, not insulated, so will be interesting to see how it goes! We bought a blow-up awning for our car and it works really well. You could probably sleep in it in the summer time. Takes about 5 mins to put up.

    Hey great little conversion! I don't suppose you know the rough dimensions of the back space in one of these? Im heading to NZ next week and im wondering if they're long enough for me - im 6 foot 2

    • @NomadLifeKiwi
      @NomadLifeKiwi  Před rokem +1

      Hi Tom, its 2300mm length (with seat fully
      back) and 1450mm wide. So heaps long enough to sleep in, probably not in our design though although Mike is 6 ft and he fits ok though and can put his feet between the two front seats. We're currently redesigning ours. Have a great trip!

    This is great! Did you drill a hole on the floor of the van to fulfill the vent rule? As many people mentioned that and I'm quiet scary to do that on my own, lol

      We didn't realise at the time we could have had it done for free!
