I love the characterization of the characters so much, they act and talk like themselves(in canon) And yes, finally Akito is not "rude, bad guy" and Mafuyu is at once "depressed".

The way that Kaede and Kokichi bond in here?? They're so in-character that I just can't. I also liked how subtle you made it with their current status when they saw Venti float and stuff. And you made Kokichi very observant about details and Kaede appreciating Yosano for being a detective is just so, y'know??
The way that Venti was understanding and Nahida looked for information is also so nice in here. Not to mention that the way each character associates some of them with the people they know.
I really wanna add more words but I've been a bit too wordy already (and I'm not good with words if it's not so obvious 😭😭). I just really, really love this.

But yes, I absolutely love how you portrayed them, you know? I feel like it's what they will do and say in that kind of situation. It's so much effort too, doing this long of an introduction that has actual thoughts and dialogue.

seeing pjsk characters in this makes me so happy and you really brought the two with the fake personalities in and im loving that (yeah akito isnt nearly as bad as mafuyu on that front but seeing him all nice and polite is very much not him normally)

also a little theory on why kaede and kokichi are so different than they normally are : shuichi dead in this au. would explain for kanade not being so ’happy’ as she is in canon, and that one moment when she says she respects the work of detectives (which is weird to say compared to the "i also know a detective!/have a detective friend, i like what you do!" which i would expect her to do)

(i was like wow this person has grand music taste, but then found out that was my own playlist going in the background... how embarassing!! also i am rather interested in your choices of character! while i am sad tsukasa is not there, i can see how he would not provide the best insight into their world, and conversly i am very happy you chose specifically nahida and venti!! and kanede + kokichi was so interesting, the way you depict their assumedly dead selves is fascinating! as well as chuuya and yosano, the way you are playing with the different duo dynamics is great, and really adds to the whole thing, i like how these two are from opposite sides of the whole thing, but neutral enough to be in the same room haha!) (wow those parentheses did nothing to segment that paragraph did they?)
im glad you like my character choices hehe 😊 i personally think they're dynamics are fun and interesting to explore and i want to flesh out some potential relationships between characters who have never met!

Here’s my theory for why kokichi and Kaede are acting strange: My guess is that this is them after their deaths, which would explain why kokichi lacks the usual energy in his emotions because he’s just so done and worn out from the game. However, DONT QUOTE ME ON THIS CAUSEEE IDK IF IM RIGHT 😭
