NITI DAUN GAWAI PARADE 2023 [4K] | A showcase of Sarawak's rich indigenous heritage 🇲🇾

In conjunction with the celebration of Sarawak's 60 years of independence and the 2023 Gawai Festival, the "Niti Daun" cultural parade of the Dayak community was held on 17th June 2023. A total of 91 contingents with approximate 3000 participants participated in this event.
Start : Tun Jugah building
End : Kuching Waterfront
Covering 1.2km
First held in 1993, the ‘Niti Daun’ parade was last held in 2018 before the Covid-19 pandemic hits.
Niti Daun is a Dayak Procession which see thousands wearing Dayak traditional colours and ornaments. Participation from different indigenous ethnic groups such as Bisaya, Orang Ulu, Kayan, Kenyah, Kelabit, Kadazan and etc showcase the diversity and uniqueness of Sarawak and Borneo culture.
