- After years of searching, I FINALLY found the perfect organizer to keep my “nightstand” stuff organized: Pack with me the Bellroy Desk Caddy.
It’s originally a tech organizer, but I repurposed it and it is perfect. So I am truly a happy minimalist traveler today. :)
This video is not sponsored, I happily purchased this pouch myself. :)

I even dropped a few things again… 😂 Can you spot it?
😂😂
😁 It happens.
@@jackolantern7342 Jep… all the time… 😂
😀🤣😂
I saw a rewiew of that pouch for tech and the people werent impressed. You use for the bag is ingenious. I use that fan daily at work. I always have stuff next to my bed and needed a container. I think you have the solution. Please keep making videos. Thanks.
Thanks Marcey! I agree, I also thought to myself when I got it that it would not be my preferred tech pouch either. 😅
This is such an awesome travel hack! I have a few things I have to keep by my nightstand each night and traveling always creates this issue because I'm worried about losing things or I just don't have a night stand. This is fantastic solution.
I am so happy to hear that you like the idea. :)
Nice little organizational bag! Very cute and I feel the same way when staying in a hotel. Trying to find my lip balm or some heartburn medicine in the dark without making too much noise has always been an issue. Thanks for sharing! Your excitement is contagious - so cute! 😄
I have a little organizational bag on my home night stand - eye drops, leg cramp pills, aspirin. I switch out the bags because I have so many pouches.
Fantastic! I got this bag on a whim and have been struggling to find a use case for it, but this has given me inspiration. Thank you! :)
I love this !! What a fabulous idea!!
Night stand bag.....super clever. Great video!
I, too, love the way your mind works.
Such a clever way to repurpose this bag!
I get that excited about good organization and design too! Thank you for sharing!
Good for you! It makes you happy, so it’s important!
Nice find! I feel the same way about the nightstand when I travel. I have some things that need to be close!
I love your videos! Learn a lot about products and your travel tips. Makes me want to be a world traveler.
I need this! Great idea!
Hello! Greetings from Chile, I found your yt channel last week and I love it, very ground to earth.
Thanks Lissette! 🤗
Thank you for your review.. Essential oil lavender helps with any kind of bug bite just dab it on the bite and it will relieve the pain in the itching. also it will prevent mosquitoes from biting you if you dabb it over your body.
Thanks for the tip Bonita! :)
Thank you for sharing this! I struggle with putting together a better, more accessible system for those little, frequently used items. I don't want them to be a big jumbled mess, yet easy to put away. I tried travel trays, but they don't have any organization or ability to close securely. I will look into this pouch to see if it could be a solution for me as well.
Good find, I am getting this. I also use that flash light in hotels. It can last many hours set to 1 lumens, so I keep it on all night placed strategically for a nightly bathroom visit.
🥰😂😂🎉🎊Hooray for the perfect nightstand bag! I really like your TINI flashlight for a hotel nightlight. I might have to keep my eyes open and see if I find one here in Norway. And good points regarding the nightstand bag. I was thinking I do not need one, but this video made me think it over again. It might be very handy. And I am wondering if I can combine the airplane comfort kit idea with this nightstand idea, since they are similiar things in them... Now you have me thinking! Love that!! Have a lovely stay in Spain! 😊😊Best, Lynne
For me, it is usually the same bag I stuff in my personal item when flying. Obviously I separate the fluids, but the rest (eyemaks, earplugs, etc) I always have with me on a flight. Also the flashlight came in superhandy on my last long flight, trying to dig through my bag when it was dark. :)
@@MaggiFuchs It really is very handy! 😊 Happy travels! Lynne
@@lynneeie5226 Happy travels to you too! ♥
@@MaggiFuchs 💕
I got this pouch on your recommendation and you are right - it works so well as a nightstand organiser for travel. Thanks.
Great to hear!
You always make ne smile. Txs
Great tip! As always :).
Hi, super Idee!!!
Den Ventilator habe ich nach deinem Video (mehrfach 😅) gekauft und weiterempfohlen. Danke für deine Videos!!!❤️
Das freut mich 😊
I imagine how it is to look for things in the dark from the pouch. 😉 nice purchase. 👍
Ah, super easy, especially with the nightlight, I can see everything and just grab what I need. No more digging. 😂
I am the same when I get a new bag! I have been looking for a toiletries bag but I don’t like the ones that hang - this would be good!
(I sent some ladies over who are in a FB group for older ladies going solo but they wanted to know how to do laundry in the sink. )
Yay, more traveling ladies! 💪 Thanks for sending them over, I appreciate it! :) I think it could theoretically work as a toiletry kit, but I don’t think it’s waterproof and I would be a little worried about “staining” the inside fabric… I don’t think this pouch will be easy to clean. 🤔
I have a Louis Vuitton Trousse 28. It's vintage and I'm getting tired of shlepping it with me on trips because it's so heavy when filled. Because there's no vachetta, I never had to worry about its getting wet. However, on my last trip, the bathroom vanity was so small it wouldn't fit, so now I'm thinking of getting a waterproof one that hangs on the door.
So sweet to see you so happy with your new erasure!
Thanks Joey. ♥️ That is the perfect proof that things sometimes can make me happy. 😂 Ever since started traveling a lot a few years ago and especially since I gave up my apartment, I have been annoyed with my old nightstand back and the lack of a better solution. So I am very happy now, this makes my life much easier. 😂
Erasure??? I meant to type Treasure! I really must learn to pay attention to what I’m typing. I think it’s great that simple things bring you such joy! I just adore your smile and laugh! Have a great day
@@joeybunbury1796 No worries, since English is not my primary language, I always immediately assume that others vocabulary is much more elaborate that mine. :) Thank you, I hope you are having an awesome day too ♥
Omg I was just looking at Bellroys tech bag thinking it would be a great bedside bag & then I saw you had done the same thing. Great minds think alike clearly :)
I love the “great minds” part.. 😂
i wanted this bag, now i have a perfect use for it too! i will purchase in green. 🎃
I love the green one too! I was debating between the green and the black one, but I recently upgraded my travel bag to a green backpack and my toiletries bag to a green one, then everything would be green… 😂 So I went with the black instead.
@@MaggiFuchs good choice!
Very good >>>>> Thank you
Thank you Sameer! :)
Love this alternative use! I was thinking of trying this bag as a toiletries bag/dopp kit, but I really prefer ones that can hang. Do you think it would be possible to hang this pouch by tying a piece of string to the Bellroy tag on the inside of the pouch?
I guess that could work. I think that label on the top is supposed to be a pen holder (I just put a pen through, to check if it‘s hollow.. 😅). But I guess you have to hang it against a wall, otherwise there is too much weight in the front and it would tilt forward?! 🤔
Love the video! You've almost convinced me to buy it! Any idea if a Kindle Paperwhite / iPad mini would fit in the back sleeve?
I just tested it, my iPad Mini does not fit. Unfortunately, I don‘t have a Kindle to test. :)
I just tried with the Kindle Paperwhite. Not with a case. It fits in the middle but not in the flat pouch on the back side. It is too long/tall.
Oh, and tiger balm helps with mosquito bites and it's smaller. I buy tiny tins when I'm in Thailand that I van keep in my handbag.
Hi Ann! Thanks for the tip with the tiger balm… Does it help to prevent them, or afterwards with the itching? :)
@@MaggiFuchs Afterwards. I itch in an area around the bite. So I scratch a little bit so I see the raised area. Then I apply to the bite and the area around. Tiger balm works on the same principle as TENS. It doesn't actually remove the pain, it distracts the brain from it, so you don't feel it. That way it can heal in peace. I have both original tiger balm tins and some other types. I've seen the tiger balm ones on Amazon, and martial arts gyms sometimes have a bin of them to sell to customers.
@@annelisabethcom Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying that. I am a little „hypochondric“ about trying to prevent bites - especially when I am in Brazil, because I think I need to be careful with things like Malaria, Zika and Dengue. But no matter how hard I try, they still bite me - so I will definitely try out your tip. Tiger Balm is easily available in Austria, I can find it in most drugstores. :)
@@MaggiFuchs You should have a strong anti viral available. Research what helps for those illnesses. Likely most are over the counter in Brazil? I had several to choose from in Thailand.
@@annelisabethcom Absolutely agree, it’s always better to be prepared. But I decided to travel without those, because I am sure, if it would happen, I can get everything I need in Brazil. I usually spend there a few months each year (hate the Austrian winter!), and so far I never had a problem. But I prefer not to risk it and therefore prefer to marinade myself in repellent. 😂
Fabulous tip about the lockers. What's the process like?
Not sure what you mean with lockers… :)
@@MaggiFuchs The Amazon hub lockers. But I found some info on it. Not sure how many places there are lockers in Spain yet. And it doesn't seem to be possible to set language to English, which hampers the process a bit.
@@annelisabethcom Aaah, sorry, lockers… of course… looks like I am having a slow day. 😂 I actually found the locker first in a shopping center and then started researching it. The lockers usually have a name to be easier identifiable, mine was called “Zacarias” I think. Once I was ordering, it showed up as a shipping option near me, so I did not need to do anything extra for that. And then it was very straightforward. I ordered it and once it was delivered to the locker I got an E-Mail with a barcode that I had to scan on the locker (or enter the number that came per Mail) and then the door openend and my package was there. :)
♥️
💝
I suggest Vitamin B-1, 100mg, one a day for mosquitoes. I use it everyday and I rarely get bit.
It really works! 😁
Hi Sharon! Thanks for the tip - I never heard of using B1 for moskito bites… I will definitely look into it! :)
Am into EDC don't get comments on not good for tech I got a anker 26800 bank & plug in mine verious cables olight and cables spork a few misolanious items it's a cool pouch I also use maxpidition and vanquest the hardest part on organisation is having to much gear lol and then needing a vertex gammet 2.0 back pack to store all your gear in 😂😂😂😂ty for review on the bell Roy it's a cool pouch ooooh and water proof aparently
Thanks for your commet! I also think the Bellroy is a cool puch - but I don’t believe it’s waterproof. :)
@@MaggiFuchs lol wil test it now as some other you tubers said it was water proof.. Noproblems
Let me know what happens. I’m curious. :) There are different material options available, maybe on of them is indeed waterproof. :)
try eucaliptus citronella (it has prooven benefits again mosquitos)
very nice pouch but pretty expensive :)
Oh, I agree. But I happily pay when it makes me happy. And considering that I dont own an apartment anymore and live out of my bag, I consider it as a piece of „furniture“, and for that, it‘s almost a bargain… 😅😂
try the EVERGOODS Civic Access Pouch 2L
I agree, it’s an awesome bag. But it’s too big and too heavy for what I carry with me. I wish they would make a smaller and more lightweight version. :)
Hey i just found your channel!! I'm Brazilian, i didn't looked up in your other videos but, what is the reason for Brazil? We have a lot of mosquitos, try citronella cream based...
Love. I am married to a brasileiro so it is very easy for us to go there. And I hate snow, and it’s perfect, because once winter starts in Europe, summer starts in Brazil… 😂 And I also adore Brazil. It’s so beautiful, the people are so nice… love going there. Even though you have all the mosquitos. ;-)
Thanks for the great recommendation. I love the idea of a bag for your nightstand. I just ordered this, love a bit of #Bellroy❤
See you later sis heheh
👍😂
The reason you’re getting bitten all the time is because off does not work anymore. You need to try a different type of insect repellent!
Hi Adrianna, usually I have a whole assortment of different brands. This is just the one I kept next to my bed… 😂 But we now moved on to a part of spain with less moskitos, so it’s way better now. :)
