MUZIUM ARKEOLOGI LENGGONG PERAK

Muzium Arkeologi Lenggong is a museum located in Lenggong, Perak, Malaysia. It is dedicated to showcasing the archaeological discoveries made in the Lenggong Valley, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The museum was established in 2003 to exhibit the artifacts and fossils that were unearthed during the archaeological excavations in the area.
The Lenggong Valley is an important site for the study of prehistoric human settlement in Southeast Asia. The valley has yielded evidence of human habitation dating back to the Palaeolithic period, around 1.83 million years ago. The museum's collection includes stone tools, pottery, and other artifacts that provide insights into the lifestyles and technologies of the early human inhabitants of the area.
One of the highlights of the museum is the display of the Perak Man, a 11,000-year-old complete human skeleton discovered in the nearby Gua Gunung Runtuh cave in 1991. The skeleton is believed to be the oldest and most complete human skeleton ever found in Southeast Asia.
Overall, the Muzium Arkeologi Lenggong is a fascinating destination for anyone interested in the history and prehistory of Southeast Asia.
