Taste of blood is really helpful for this as it adds up to a lot of hp so that's the reasoning in case anyone is wondering!
What's the reason to go comet instead of aery if you want early game power? Fire vid btw
@@iamapseudonym8777 i think the reasoning is maybe because asol needs to stand still for his Q so comet has a good chance on landing
@@iamapseudonym8777 Also, I imagine since Asol matchup means you cant proc Q off of CD (he has good range and 3s Q CD versus Syndra Q 4s - plus with a lot of gank pressure from twitch) and thus trades are mainly base around QE combo, when you are guaranteed to hit comet, makes it better than aery
If you can guarantee the comet hitting (slow with W, stun with E) then comet does more dmg against ranged champs. Against melee when you can proc aery with autos then normally that will be better

I am trying to main learn Syndra and your videos of her have been very helpful. One question though if you can answer, when would you recommend getting Sorcerer Boots compare to rushing Lost Chapter on her as first back priority?
Sorcs are generally better yeah, the movement speed is really valuable in most matchups and you don't have too many mana problems anyway

Liss galio are pretty much perfect yeah, a lot of top champs are good too. Slogdogs is NA GM right now with yorick on 200 ping
Hey Shok there’s currently a Korean challenger syndra with a 70% wr playing malignance storm surge/horizon. Seems like it’s great for the early game skirmish rewards, should give it a shot with electrocute.
Been playing it in master and having my r on a 45 sec cool down rank 2 feels super nice
The items being cheap spikes, with the added Cdr buffs coming to mana items will make the short burst trades into all ins just that much stronger

As a Syndra main, my feeling is it's not that Syndra is weak but everything Syndra is weak against is strong, so her blindpickness got hurt a lot and she rarely have free games to express herself, you always have at least one heavy menace on the enemy team
I think at the start of the season this was true with lich bane, protobelt and stormsurge being OP but its not so bad now

Have you tried first strike with 3 tonics? 3rd adds 5 to splinters. When you play heavy snowball on mid you get 60 for W upgrade on lvl9

I like the tonic rune but I don't like first strike that much atm, at least not in the lanes I'm picking her into
Ye skill points give the splinters, not the level ups, so the skill orb you get at level 9 counts

I hate how mid is just survive ganks to win, kinda wish they move the turret a little bit so you can go hide quicker when ganked. Good vid as always !

How do you feel about the chapter items? I’ve seen some Syndras rush storm surge and avoid a ludens item. With Manaflow and splinter regen it’s not awful.
I tried doing that but I feel like the lack of CDR kinda sucks with those builds

More AP + the shield is pretty useful if you're a super squishy champ and aren't building any other defense

Idk Syndra feels weird for me especially her builds am struggling with first and second item, I tried a lot combinations of items but nothing feels right and great compared to last season: Liandry + Cosmic
ive seen onetricks going electrocute and the standard is first strike, why comet? also why is it not good to push baron in all 3 lanes since the buff is more spread and effective I guess?
Comet is just the most powerful laning rune, electrocute is better for skirmishing but not that good for laning. The buff is more effective and if you could pressure 3 lanes safely you would, but normally in soloq people won't respect properly and just get engaged on and die so its kinda risky

they recently made smite not count as a spell. so what this *should* mean is smite+R kayn, smite to pop spell shield and other high skill strategies should no longer work.
I don't believe she can but if she can then I'm stupid I guess...

She feels very bad into alot of matchups that are currently popular, most supports that I encounter counter her completly (milio, maokai, bard) and has a 48.4% wr on Masters+, isn't that the definition of a champ being in a bad state? Am I missing something? I basically mained her last season but I stopped playing her because of how bad it feels.
I think milio is countered by syndra, but I can agree maokai and bard are pretty tough to deal with. That's kinda the reality of any immobile mage vs those two champs though. imo winrate is a pretty poor indicator of champ strength and I imagine the winrate is pulled down heavily by people picking her in bad games. She's definitely not a champ you can pick in almost any situation like last time

My thoughts are that, if hes positioning correctly, he basically doesnt allow syndra to play the game.
You get a sick ult e, he ults, he has MS for allies so it's practically impossible to hit long range q/w into e.
The only way to win vs milio as syndra would be to hit him with a combo, but that feels quite impossible taking in count how hard to reach he can be.
