I'm struggling to make this decision. The G300 I could mount on a boom stand with minimal setup, which is really nice as a solo shooter, but the B500 can overpower the sun.

Hi. Thanks for the message. When it comes to decisions I always think about my priorities. How many times do you actually need to overpower the sun?
Or are you gonna use the light mainly indoors and mostly use the light for practicality?

how do u compare with G300 which can output at max500 wt same with B500?

The B series with no Max mode. And the actual out put would be a littler lower than 500W because of the loss when transmit. The G300 only with the 500W output when in max mode. The B500 with larger output than the G300.
