That trail looks to be about a 5 or 6 out of 10 on the difficulty scale. Big pucker factor but not a lot of truly difficult spots. Any capable 4x4 with good tires should make pretty much 100% of the time.

@Mountain Dew, being from South Africa, I can safely agree with you. The Sani pass is travelled daily by countless 2 wheel drive vehicles and minibus taxis, with very little accidents.
It's not THAT bad. Drove through there on a trip to climb Thabana Ntlenyana, and while I can certainly say it's not the most relaxing of experiences, going through there in a 4x4 with a bit of caution is perfectly manageable for any reasonably experienced driver

If you watch Top Gear....you KNOW all about some of the most dangerous roads in the world, that truly looks tame.
those roads were all paved and dwarfed by the 9500 foot tall pass... those top gear wussies would have died here especialy that little guy that crashes all the time...what an idiot

Not dangerous, in fact when it snows or after heavy rain the pass is closed down and only local people may enter it to get to their houses, ect, and that is at their own risk.
