How long do I need to wait to apply for the AMEX Gold after acquiring the Amex platinum? I recently received the platinum and I am about to complete my bonus in the first 5-6 weeks, but as you said, I would like to maximize my return on spend with the 4x categories on the Gold card (Instead of 1x on platinum). Would I be in danger of being denied for applying too soon? Thanks in advance.
I don't think I can justify the annual fee. I don't get enough benefit if I don't factor in the sign on points. I'll probably get rid of both and get the Charles Schwab once my year is up
@@eduardoarosemena655 btw what works for me might not work for everyone. For example closing accounts is not beneficial for credit score. Luckily for me I don't need a house or car anytime soon

I think they're eager to take your annual fee. I personally waited about 8 months I think. Just as long as u don't have a history of churning
