  • Sigma is releasing even more lenses for the Fujifilm X Mount, which is good news for X Mount shooters like myself. Although I'm not a super-telephoto user, I'm glad there are options, and I think the Sigma 100-400mm zoom lens will be popular. The Sigma 23mm f/1.4 prime lens is also a good option, but it's crowded, especially on the secondary market. I have a dedicated video on the Sigma 23mm f/1.4 so please check that out. This is only my first look video, so give me time to fully test these lenses. Thanks to Sigma USA and Sigma Japan for sending me these lenses to test.

Having sold off my 18-55 2.8-4 Fuji for the sigma 18-50 2.8 I couldn’t be happier with the Sigma. I think image quality and build is equal to if not better than the Fuji. The 100-400 would be interesting to see compared to the Fuji both their 100-400 as well as the Fuji 70-300.

Yes I did the same. Although lacking stabilization, I've found the 18-50mm Sigma to be better overall. The size/weight makes it a good travel lens too

Fuji should renew the 23mm F2. It's a crime not to have an extraordinary Fujicron in that focal length (+ urgently renew the 18mm f2 and the 18-55).

Hi just watched video good video but, When updating Sigma firmware, you do it same as with a Fuji lens on an SD card through camera.
The Dock is only for L Mount lenses so that is not a required purchase (and may not even work).
I updated my 56mm F/1.4 sigma on an SD card through camera as I have updated all my Fuji lenses
    kind regards

I updated my sigma 56 straight from the X-T3 body. I think you don't need a dongle to upgrade the software on rest of fuji-x sigma lenses.

You know, Fujifilm keeps tempting me. It's like a very slow burn. Year after year, it just gets a little hotter. The Sigma 100-400 looks damned good. My potential next lens purchase: the Olympus 100-400. Narrower AOV than the Sigma on the Fuji body. However, if you crop in to 20Mpx on the Fuji, you pretty much have a MFT frame. I wonder if the electronic shutter on the Fuji, in crop mode, is as fast as the Olympus sensor?
I look forward to your test on the GFX!
BTW The Fujinon 23/1.4, and the Fujinon 100-400, are also made in Japan - I just checked.

Wish the 100-400 was straight f5.6, I hate variable aperture‘s

That’s actually a good point. Hopefully they see this comment. Perhaps optically it’s more difficult to design?

It can be done but it will be bigger both in size and price
