  • First video to a 2 part series of the engine rebuild of my 1996 Suzuki Shogun. If you can, make sure to watch at 4k@60. I go over every thing I do as the engine comes apart. This is not a step by step guide, if you attempt to ever rebuild yours, please keep the service manual next to you and follow it carefully.
Message me on Instagram @fuzailz_pics if you have any questions and I'll be glad to help.

      Hi,
I have everything recorded but I don’t have the time to put the video together yet. I’ll try to get it done ASAP. But please don’t use my video as a guide. This is my first time working on a 2 Stroke and the only reason I’m putting out the videos is to keep memories from myself for the future. If you’re planning on rebuilding your Shogun I really recommend you to acquire a service manual and do it yourself too. It’s loads of fun!
Meanwhile you can see how the bike turned out over at my instagram, I have a highlight for the rebuild.

Thanks. That’s an apache’s kicker. Not sure which model exactly. No specific reason to use it, just like the way it looks.

Catalytic converter Shogun's kicker is different from other TVS Suzuki bikes, because the kicker should not scratch the heat guard. Rest all same but the catalogue says that Shaolin's kicker is different from others. I did inspect but couldn't find any difference, except that the early AX100's kicker bottom is cast while the one on the Shaolin and the other kicker on my 5 speed Shogun (it was converted by previous owner and he had machined the crank to accommodate Shogun magnet and also installed Shogun clutch, rest all Shaolin (crank case, transmission, oil pump etc.)) were made of billets. TVS tried so many iterations and it confuses the users, mainly collectors.

Nice video , could you assist me , is it possible to convert samurai to shogun engine , what things need to be changed .

Thanks. From what I understand you’d need to change the entire engine because the crankcases differ, the gear ratios differ and the cylinders are different too.
