My Parkinson's Story: Driving

Parkinson's disease can impair basic motor and cognitive functions necessary to safely operate a motor vehicle. This VA created this video to discuss common issues regarding driving ability in PD. It includes a discussion of how healthcare providers assess driving safety. This video features a patient interacting with staff from the Houston VAMC PADRECC and the Iowa City VAMC including Dr. Ergun Uc and Dr. Aliaya Sawar.
