End of the day Belly antagonized a grieving person and then pikachu-faced when she got smacked for it.

Never going to her games- Basically completely blackballing the people that needed her the most is crazy. When my dad died- My mom was there for us even MORE because children/young teens grieve harder than adults. Laurel was selfish to me. Why be mad for something that can't be changed anyways? If they want they can get mad at the dad, the guy wasn't even in the picture ever since the deb ball. Regardless of grief, she is meant to be a parent to her kids yet during this season she constantly neglected belly while she was grieving too and only thought abt herself, not even taking the time to think abt how much the boys are struggling after losing their mother. And the slap? Not a way you should take your own personal problems out on your kids, just a complete display of immaturity. Both people were struggling and dealing with susannahs death in their own ways, both people did this unhealthily and not efficiantly. But laurels behaviour towards her daughter was horrible. Its not even as if belly could of spoke to her abt any of this anyway and talk it out with her because she just went into full shutdown and just put it out on her. It wasnt until she harmed her daughter that she realised that she wasnt dealing with this in the right way, when this should of been recognised so much earlier, regardless of the things shes coping with

The Jelly moments this episode were so good! I love how they were openly flirting and acting like a couple in from of everyone. Also, that kiss was insane. Their chemistry is through the roof!
Belly and Jere are always happy when they're together. I feel like they both can breathe and be themselves because they know no matter what the other one will be there for them
I think belly and Jere have really good sexual chemistry like the kisses cannot be compared to belly and Conrad. But I do think belly and Conrad have better chemistry in a sense of just looks or when they talk.
When Belly was saying that she had spent so much time dreaming of Conrad, but now she wanted something real, I took it to mean she had an idealized version in her head of Conrad, and of what being with him would be like, but then actually dating him wasn’t all that she thought it would be. She doesn’t want to live in that idealized fantasy anymore, she wants something real and tangible, and she feels that with Jere. If you remember, in the first season Belly said kissing Jere felt real, and real is scary. Now, even though it’s still scary because she doesn’t want to lose him, she’s taking that leap because it’s worth it to be with Jeremiah.
Exactly and I think the scariest part for her was she didn't want to lose Jeremiah friendship or lose him being in her life in case they dated and they ended up breaking up. Now she knows what it was like not to have Jere in her life for a year and hated it but this time she won't give into her fear

I mean... Conrad and Belly kissed S1 the day Jeremiah found out his mom had cancer. Belly knew Jeremiah thought they were pursuing a relationship and Conrad had suspected because Steven told him about it. This isn't nearly as disrespectful or insensitive as that. And, at least Jeremiah attempted to resist this kiss, felt bad about it, and talked to his brother about their respective feelings immediately after. Despite living in the same house the rest of the summer in S1, Conrad only talked to Jeremiah about Belly to gain his "permission" to date her two months later, but really bulldozed a blessing and told Belly the convo went very differently than it did.
@@EC-echooflove Conrad didn’t know that they had kissed until belly told him about it after she kissed him. Jere also went after belly only after seeing her nearly kiss Conrad on the 4th of July. He’s acknowledged that Belly has always liked Conrad, and Conrad is in love with Belly.. yet he goes for her constantly or makes them all feel guilty when he doesn’t get his way in that respect. And what they did in this episode is just messy and it makes me uncomfortable to watch it. We will just have to agree to disagree. I honestly am team Belly has issues and the boys both deserve better, but I also would lean more into Conrad’s court that Jeremiah’s personally.. if I have to choose between the two.

Jeremiah's feelings for Belly aren't contigent on Conrad's feelings. Jeremiah realized he had feelings for Belly as soon as he saw her that summer... before Conrad saw her and apparently realized he also had feelings... and we see him showcasing jealousy about Cam and making time to hang with her long before he saw Bonrad's almost kiss on the pier. Remember, Belly started dating Cam their second day in town, and as Jeremiah said about her feelings "there was Conrad, than Cam... I've just been waiting".

He was majorly hurt the previous summer, Belly knew that, and felt horrible, hence why she's cognitive of his feelings now because it's a sore subject. Conrad never cared about Jeremiah's feelings regarding Belly, so never felt guilt. But, like I said, Jeremiah and Belly's kiss this episode isn't any more hurtful or messy than Conrad and Belly's in S1. All of them are messy, but Jeremiah is the one who's more aware of the messiness and tries his best to rectify the situation, which is more than what they did for him when he was hurt.

Jere has no right to be mad if that situation happen. I think in season 1 he had the right to be mad but at this point nothing really developed between belly and Jere besides some flirting. However, I do think Conrad has the right to be mad at belly and Jere because Conrad was with belly for almost a year and they were only broken up for like a month so his reaction is a lot more justifiable than Jere’s.

I personally love the parallels between Belly and Jeres first kiss last season and their first kiss this season. Last season Jere tells Belly how he truly feels and aks Belly if they could be more which she says yes. In thai season Belly makes the first move and ask Jere if he still which he says yes I still. Belly's wanted Jere since the end of episode 4 and the person who saw that right away was Taylor because Taylor is Belly's other best friend and can tell when shes happy or not thats why Taylor has always been team Jellyfish.
[Spoiler]... though I think most people know this by now. One of the reasons many people think Conrad is end game on the show is because [spoiler] he is in the books. So, considering the books were set up to make Conrad end game and define Bonrad as "soulmates", we're bound to see scenes in the series designed to lean viewers in that direction. That being said, the verbiage utilized by Belly to describe her relationship w/ Jeremiah is indicative of Jenny Han's end games in other series. The way Belly describes her relationship w/ Jeremiah as "real" is a really big sign that Jenny could do a switch up and make Jelly end game (also, from what I've seen from book commenters, Belly uses "real" to describe her relationship w/ Conrad in the books... this is a really huge change). In the books, Belly apparently never actively chooses Jeremiah before they start their relationship, instead just ending up with him because Conrad tells her he doesn't want her. In the tv series, Belly actively chooses Jeremiah knowing Conrad still wants to be with her. It's subtle changes in pivotal scenes like these that are actually really huge in dictating future plot. All that to say that Belly's end game isn't as obvious as people think because Jenny has made changes in key scenes that are actually really impactful in potentially changing the trajectory of the storyline.

I do think Jere is gonna be end game. So much has changed from the books to the show that I can’t imagine it playing out the same. I think it’s important to really listen to what Belly says in her conversation with Jere especially the part of “wanting something real” so much of belly’s “love” for Conrad isn’t actually loving him it’s loving the version of him she created in her mind. That’s why we see that dream of hers in the beginning of season 2 of him. & every time Con doesn’t live up to the version Belly has created of him she can’t accept it & Conrad is left hanging. In season 1 after Belly & Jere kiss for the first time Belly tells Taylor that their kiss felt “real & scary” & Taylor tells her “well isn’t love suppose to be a little scary” that was a monumental moment that led up to this scene happening & it doesn’t exist in the book which means Jenny added this INTENTIONALLY & it’s interesting because ppl think Jere is the safe option between the brothers but the reality is Belly would rather be in a relationship that she knew wasn’t going to work out than be in something real because that amount of emotion scared her. However in the scene at the end of this episode Belly is finally ready for a real relationship no matter how scary it is for her & Jere loves her so much that even tho he knows she might break his heart into a million pieces it’s worth it. In the book only 1 relationship is ever considered “real” & it’s hers & conrads at the end of book 3. This whole concept of being in love with love but being scared when true love is right there is the most common theme in anything ever written or produced by Jenny Han & this is her biggest hint to the viewers. & ppl are gonna say I’m delulu or they’re just adding stuff to make the show more appealing but im telling y’all Jenny is calculated & every change put in is there for a reason 🤷🏻♀️
Didn't she also change Jere and Bellys kiss this season? In the books I thought I read that Jeremiah pursued the kiss and in the show it was all Belly. Also, Belly calls Jere at the beginning of this season when in the book Jere calls Belly to ask about Conrad. I personally believe that Jenny wanted Jere and Belly to end up together in the books but Team Conrad had such a big following she didn't want to anger her fans, but I believe that people who only watch the show are bigger Team Jeremiah fans. Jenny also admitted that she hates watching shows where she knows the ending right away. So I hope she changes it but I still think in the end she won't.

The actor who played Conrad literally nailed his character when it comes to Depression, Sadness, Anxiety drama ,.., he made me feel his pain without using words, good job man(he's really good in comedy, Romance as well) overall I guess he's the only good young actor in this show, of course my opinion

Tom Everett Scott who plays Con's and Jeremiah's dad is actually an established actor. I don't know how much he has done lately, but he played in a cute movie in the late 90s called That Thing You Do! about a one-hit wonder band from Pennsylvania and directed by Tom Hanks. I agree he is terrible in this and I can't figure out if it's because he's supposed to be such a jerk and does a bad job.
Yes! He has done a lot of movies, shows, etc. I think he always plays a laid back, Goofy, dont care about anything type of characters. I love That Thing You do!!. And like you say he is a well known actor.

The reason Jere and belly would never fully work is because Conrad will always be apart of their relationship whether or not they want him to or not. I feel bad for Jere but he knows what he is getting into with belly. Even Jere says there will always be Conrad for belly even if she may not be in love with him, he will always have a part of her heart bc he is her first love.
I also had a first love, and today we're not together, most of us aren't... I don't understand why it has to be Conrad, it has to be whoever makes her happiest. the first ones were marvelous, but they also became a thing of the past.

Most people don’t end up with their first loves but you still have a special place in your heart for them bc they were your first which is the same for belly. Then for Jere and belly when they are together we see belly just keeping thinking about Conrad or Jere comparing himself to Conrad. I personally don’t think the love triangle in the book is great. I didn’t really care who she ended up with in the books because both of the options were lackluster.
@@serenaaav In fact, I think we all expected more it, but in the book, nothing was actually built to make it incredible, maybe the show will give us that. Book 3 only shows how Belle focuses on Jere's negative points, she didn't let the character or the story evolve, but this was designed to justify the ending. I think Jenny can do better than that today! Maybe Jere shines a little more in the series, and Conrad has to shine a lot for it to be at least acceptable for him to be the endgame.

honestly the most unrealistic thing about this season is that it takes place in less than a week😅 stevens graduation was on a friday which was the first episode and conrads finals (this episode) are on thursday the following week🙈 so belly really went from crying over conrad to jumping on jeremiah in a matter of 6 days🙈
Do you want the guy who is always there for you (jeremiah) or the emotionally unavailable guy that you have to chase (conrad) i think its clear, Jere is the better choice.
I think Jeremiah should have kept his thinking on not being with Belly because the three of them (Belly, Jeremiah, and Connie) are finally in a good place and if Belly ended up with Connie or Jeremiah either way it's going to stir some shit up. I think the boys needed time to rekindle their strained brotherhood from what happened last summer since both brothers had a strained relationship for almost a year and that they needed time to come together and grieve properly as brothers without the side of drama. Belly needed time to clear her head and figure herself out more as well as learning how to not go with the flow but think through her decisions so she could avoid unintentionally hurting people like she did last summer. It doesn't have to be forever but like a period of time where the three of them are just friends or best friends for at least like 6 months. It doesn't mean they have to stop communication all together they can still remain friends and best friends. I hope whoever reads this understands what I'm trying to say and I hope you have a wonderful day.

I think this is a sweet show, even as an adult but my teen heart and adult heart can not be team jere simply because she had a relationship with Conrad. PERIOD. It doesn't matter if she's "over" him. She has been obsessed with him her whole life and hello she lost her virginity to him, which as a women I will say will be a permanent memory permanent emotions attached to it, because she liked him so much. Both people were struggling and dealing with susannahs death in their own ways, both people did this unhealthily and not efficiantly. But laurels behaviour towards her daughter was horrible. Its not even as if belly could of spoke to her abt any of this anyway and talk it out with her because she just went into full shutdown and just put it out on her. It wasnt until she harmed her daughter that she realised that she wasnt dealing with this in the right way, when this should of been recognised so much earlier, regardless of the things shes coping with

When Belly was saying that she had spent so much time dreaming of Conrad, but now she wanted something real, I took it to mean she had an idealized version in her head of Conrad, and of what being with him would be like, but then actually dating him wasn’t all that she thought it would be. She doesn’t want to live in that idealized fantasy anymore, she wants something real and tangible, and she feels that with Jere. If you remember, in the first season Belly said kissing Jere felt real, and real is scary. Now, even though it’s still scary because she doesn’t want to lose him, she’s taking that leap because it’s worth it to be with Jeremiah.

I mean... Conrad and Belly kissed S1 the day Jeremiah found out his mom had cancer. Belly knew Jeremiah thought they were pursuing a relationship and Conrad had suspected because Steven told him about it. This isn't nearly as disrespectful or insensitive as that. And, at least Jeremiah attempted to resist this kiss, felt bad about it, and talked to his brother about their respective feelings immediately after. Despite living in the same house the rest of the summer in S1, Conrad only talked to Jeremiah about Belly to gain his "permission" to date her two months later, but really bulldozed a blessing and told Belly the convo went very differently than it did.

But, like I said, Jeremiah and Belly's kiss this episode isn't any more hurtful or messy than Conrad and Belly's in S1. Jere has no right to be mad if that situation happen. I think in season 1 he had the right to be mad but at this point nothing really developed between belly and Jere besides some flirting. However, I do think Conrad has the right to be mad at belly and Jere because Conrad was with belly for almost a year and they were only broken up for like a month so his reaction is a lot more justifiable than Jere’s.

Last season Jere tells Belly how he truly feels and aks Belly if they could be more which she says yes. In thai season Belly makes the first move and ask Jere if he still which he says yes I still.

[Spoiler]... though I think most people know this by now.
One of the reasons many people think Conrad is end game on the show is because [spoiler] he is in the books. So, considering the books were set up to make Conrad end game and define Bonrad as "soulmates", we're bound to see scenes in the series designed to lean viewers in that direction. That being said, the verbiage utilized by Belly to describe her relationship w/ Jeremiah is indicative of Jenny Han's end games in other series. The way Belly describes her relationship w/ Jeremiah as "real" is a really big sign that Jenny could do a switch up and make Jelly end game (also, from what I've seen from book commenters, Belly uses "real" to describe her relationship w/ Conrad in the books... this is a really huge change). In the books, Belly apparently never actively chooses Jeremiah before they start their relationship, instead just ending up with him because Conrad tells her he doesn't want her. In the tv series, Belly actively chooses Jeremiah knowing Conrad still wants to be with her. It's subtle changes in pivotal scenes like these that are actually really huge in dictating future plot.
All that to say that Belly's end game isn't as obvious as people think because Jenny has made changes in key scenes that are actually really impactful in potentially changing the trajectory of the storyline.

I do think Jere is gonna be end game. So much has changed from the books to the show that I can’t imagine it playing out the same. I think it’s important to really listen to what Belly says in her conversation with Jere especially the part of “wanting something real” so much of belly’s “love” for Conrad isn’t actually loving him it’s loving the version of him she created in her mind. That’s why we see that dream of hers in the beginning of season 2 of him. & every time Con doesn’t live up to the version Belly has created of him she can’t accept it & Conrad is left hanging. In season 1 after Belly & Jere kiss for the first time Belly tells Taylor that their kiss felt “real & scary” & Taylor tells her “well isn’t love suppose to be a little scary” that was a monumental moment that led up to this scene happening & it doesn’t exist in the book which means Jenny added this INTENTIONALLY & it’s interesting because ppl think Jere is the safe option between the brothers but the reality is Belly would rather be in a relationship that she knew wasn’t going to work out than be in something real because that amount of emotion scared her. However in the scene at the end of this episode Belly is finally ready for a real relationship no matter how scary it is for her & Jere loves her so much that even tho he knows she might break his heart into a million pieces it’s worth it. In the book only 1 relationship is ever considered “real” & it’s hers & conrads at the end of book 3. This whole concept of being in love with love but being scared when true love is right there is the most common theme in anything ever written or produced by Jenny Han & this is her biggest hint to the viewers. & ppl are gonna say I’m delulu or they’re just adding stuff to make the show more appealing but im telling y’all Jenny is calculated & every change put in is there for a reason 🤷🏻♀️
Didn't she also change Jere and Bellys kiss this season? In the books I thought I read that Jeremiah pursued the kiss and in the show it was all Belly. Also, Belly calls Jere at the beginning of this season when in the book Jere calls Belly to ask about Conrad. I personally believe that Jenny wanted Jere and Belly to end up together in the books but Team Conrad had such a big following she didn't want to anger her fans, but I believe that people who only watch the show are bigger Team Jeremiah fans. Jenny also admitted that she hates watching shows where she knows the ending right away. So I hope she changes it but I still think in the end she won't.

Tom Everett Scott who plays Con's and Jeremiah's dad is actually an established actor. I don't know how much he has done lately, but he played in a cute movie in the late 90s called That Thing You Do! about a one-hit wonder band from Pennsylvania and directed by Tom Hanks. I agree he is terrible in this and I can't figure out if it's because he's supposed to be such a jerk and does a bad job.

The reason Jere and belly would never fully work is because Conrad will always be apart of their relationship whether or not they want him to or not. I feel bad for Jere but he knows what he is getting into with belly. Even Jere says there will always be Conrad for belly even if she may not be in love with him, he will always have a part of her heart bc he is her first love.
I also had a first love, and today we're not together, most of us aren't... I don't understand why it has to be Conrad, it has to be whoever makes her happiest. the first ones were marvelous, but they also became a thing of the past.
@@mileiderodrigues685 I agree, she doesn’t have to end up with Conrad but the fact belly jumped from one relationship to another when she didn’t give herself time to get over Conrad, it’s gonna make her and Jere’s relationship difficult. Also the fact Jere already compares himself to Conrad, Jere is easily gonna compare himself to Conrad in the relationship as well. Most people don’t end up with their first loves but you still have a special place in your heart for them bc they were your first which is the same for belly. I just think no matter how belly feels for Jere, Conrad is always gonna have a place in her heart and Jere probably wouldn’t like that.
@@serenaaav Yes I agree, there wasn't time for the choices made to be really consistent, I'm sure Conrad will change this relationship in the future, Jere will probably find that necklace in her things from college, which will bring up new discussions and doubts regarding Conrad . I just hope it's better than in the book, that they can both be happy. But to be honest, I didn't buy Conrad's story, in the book he never seemed like the best option. except for the fact that it was your first love, and for me that is very vague.
@@mileiderodrigues685 honestly for me in the books both of the couples weren’t that strong together. For Conrad and belly we don’t even see them together. Then for Jere and belly when they are together we see belly just keeping thinking about Conrad or Jere comparing himself to Conrad. I personally don’t think the love triangle in the book is great. I didn’t really care who she ended up with in the books because both of the options were lackluster.
@@serenaaav In fact, I think we all expected more it, but in the book, nothing was actually built to make it incredible, maybe the show will give us that. Book 3 only shows how Belle focuses on Jere's negative points, she didn't let the character or the story evolve, but this was designed to justify the ending. I think Jenny can do better than that today! Maybe Jere shines a little more in the series, and Conrad has to shine a lot for it to be at least acceptable for him to be the endgame.

honestly the most unrealistic thing about this season is that it takes place in less than a week😅 stevens graduation was on a friday which was the first episode and conrads finals (this episode) are on thursday the following week🙈 so belly really went from crying over conrad to jumping on jeremiah in a matter of 6 days🙈

Do you want the guy who is always there for you (jeremiah) or the emotionally unavailable guy that you have to chase (conrad) i think its clear, Jere is the better choice.
I think Jeremiah should have kept his thinking on not being with Belly because the three of them (Belly, Jeremiah, and Connie) are finally in a good place and if Belly ended up with Connie or Jeremiah either way it's going to stir some shit up. I think the boys needed time to rekindle their strained brotherhood from what happened last summer since both brothers had a strained relationship for almost a year and that they needed time to come together and grieve properly as brothers without the side of drama. Belly needed time to clear her head and figure herself out more as well as learning how to not go with the flow but think through her decisions so she could avoid unintentionally hurting people like she did last summer. It doesn't have to be forever but like a period of time where the three of them are just friends or best friends for at least like 6 months. It doesn't mean they have to stop communication all together they can still remain friends and best friends. I hope whoever reads this understands what I'm trying to say and I hope you have a wonderful day.

I think this is a sweet show, even as an adult but my teen heart and adult heart can not be team jere simply because she had a relationship with Conrad. PERIOD. It doesn't matter if she's "over" him. She has been obsessed with him her whole life and hello she lost her virginity to him, which as a women I will say will be a permanent memory permanent emotions attached to it, because she liked him so much. It would never work. Jere would constantly feel insecure about their friendship plus...dude she slept with your brother. Sorry not sorry. Jere is adorable and deserves to be someone's number one not number 2. I know it's a show just can't move past the brothers being with the same girl thing. LOL it drives me crazy. I can't imagine marrying into a family and having been with both brothers LOL Conrad will ALWAYS be in her heart always always.
