  • Today on Chasing Legends of the Superstition Mountains, Wayne Tuttle discusses the clues that supposedly lead to Jacob Waltz's lost mine, as well as some of the problems that arise with these clues.
The Superstition Mountains are located in Apache Junction, Arizona. Within the wilderness, the Lost Dutchman Mine has remained hidden, with up to $200 million in gold. Wayne Tuttle, Frank Augustine, Woody Wampler, Eric Deleel, and Eric Magnuson set out into the Superstition Mountains on History Channel’s Legend of the Superstition Mountains to search for the infamous gold mine in 2015. Growing restless waiting for a second season, Wayne and Frank decided to continue their search in the Superstition Mountains on CZcams, filming videos of their treks into the mountains. The team now engages in treasure hunting and gold prospecting in the Superstition Mountains, searching for Ted DeGrazia’s lost paintings and investigating strange stories and mysteries of the Superstition Mountains.

He was an old man and old men usually stop playing games. If he truly was sending them out to Bluff Springs I think it’s rational to combine Bluff Springs with the ONE clue that was man made and therefore one of a list. Or put another way you could list 10 saddles, 10 three red hills, 10 places with a trick in the trail and you have no idea if one of those 10 are the right one. Because due to being natural in essence they are unlimited. But not those houses. If you got a list of every single board-house then one is for sure the place. Hope I’m making sense. It’s literally in my opinion the only location/clue that is worth focusing on. Great video. First time I’ve ever wanted to maybe go look for this thing.

Thank you very much, Wayne. This is what we've been waiting for... your specific thoughts. Your research over the years is priceless and fascinating, particularly to those of us who have never been to the Superstitions. #DeepNuance #TheGuruOfGold #StayAwesome!

Absolutely the masterclass I've been waiting on from you for years. Thank you. It's concise, to the point, accurate, and offers highly deductive reasoning that makes sense. Good advice for any Dutch Hunter.

Well done Wayne, this definitely takes us well into the advanced required course material for a degree in dutch hunting. I will probably need to watch this a few times to catch all of the subtle points that may fly in the face of my preconceived notions, but that's how the learning process goes. Thank you!

lol great video Wayne ..i fully agree, the best thing you can take into the mountains is your self & lots of water .... and maybe a x navy Quartermaster that was once blind ..no one will ever see the mountains as well as i do ...gerat video ..100% true ..until the mine is made public none of the clues are worth a bucket a sand ....i can see why you don't fully agree with all the video & books out there . not the crazy ones but just one after the other and none get the mine any closer ..i was honest when i stated i am the only one that has seen the Hoya ..i had no idea the LDM was in the same area and i was not looking for it ... i am getting to old to go back and the same thing that happen to Waltz is now happening to me ..50+ years as a treasure hunter and 28 of those years locating the Hoya again .and maybe less than 3 years focusing on the LDM research ...times up,my health is failing .did i find the real LDM , yes , i did good luck Wayne

Wayne, you are not correct when you said there are no tailings.
The tailings are there, you just have to locate “ The Mine “.
Jim Barks was there, but Ms. Thomas had no idea where the mine was.
I do have tailing samples from the mine.

The Stone Maps are only useful in a area of 1200-1500 feet long. Its a Map that leads from the handheld cross that a Priest holds at a mine entrance to the Latin Heart aka Sacred Heart.

Wayne have you ever went to look at the Sim Ely papers? 7 boxes full in the archive at ASU Library. Just wondered. I’m sure many people have. It’s nice they kept all that and let people see it. Tons of notes it looks like from early years research on possible location

I spent years reading journals, reading books, listening to others, following everything, but in August 2017 I trashed everything and researched Jacob Waltz. I spent 40 yrs prospecting until my last trip to AZ in 2017 and when I say I know where the Gold is I mean exactly that. Wayne, if you're wanting to be that Rich guy and I've told you numerous times to help me get back out there.... I am the only one that will make it happen. If you want to keep making videos about something but never find it your only alternative is me. Wayne I know you think I'm crazy but I'm not, I can tell you where the mine is at and I can show you

Wayne, I have a question for you. Do you think that Walt buried the mine opening? Do you have an opinion as to the likelihood that he did?

The so called Peralta Stone Maps were not Peralta nor were they Mexican or Tomlinson for that matter. If you question the authenticity of the stone maps then you need to see me personally. The original Stone Maps are quite real but few know where they lead and 99% of those few really don't know anything. The only person that knows exactly where the maps lead is Me.

I have to disagree. This was just plenty of common sense information with very little detail or depth. It is as if Wayne was purposely not wanting to reveal too much. Don’t get me wrong, Wayne probably knows more about the lore of Jacob Waltz and his gold than most everyone on the planet. However, this video tells the viewer little of that knowledge.
So here is a clue and a very good one to anyone wanting to test their luck looking for the source of Jacob’s gold (gold he most certainly had for some was found under his bed at the time of his death). This clue is called the boarding house clue. It is by far the most important clue because it gives a starting point from where to begin your search.
For sake of time I am not going to go into the details of this clue. There is however plenty of information available on the internet if one is willing to look. Wayne knows this clue backwards and forwards. His ranch practically sits on top of it. That is all I will say about it here.
For those interested in looking, the best time to search the Superstitions is in the winter. The summer heat is a killer. Even Jacob only went to work his mine in the cooler times of the year. And finally, pack in plenty of water when you hike the Superstitions. Water, a good pair of shoes and some heavy clothing to protect yourself from getting all scratched up hiking the terrain will be your most important supplies.
Jacob’s mine is not going to be found on or near any well beaten path. (Although, the establish trails should be used to get back into where you will need to search). Good luck all and stay safe!
One last comment: Never hike alone, bring a friend or friends and let everyone know the area you will be hiking in. A personal locater beacon is also strongly advised to bring along!

Did Waltz say he had tools cached close to his mine? Tools had been found stashed on peters mesa?

    • @legendofthesuperstitionmou969
      @legendofthesuperstitionmou969  Před rokem

Tools have been found stashed in a lot of places. If it’s the Peter’s Mesa/ Green/Edwards story your referencing, I would relegate that to Grimms fairy tales.
