In the late sixties there was a high school group believe it or not that made the charts. Their name of the group was called The Left Bank or Banke. The song was Walk Away Renee. Kids this age were a breath of fresh air, just sayin'!😉

This song has been getting some play on Streaming Series lately. In the TV Series "Jack Reacher" Jack Reacher is in mortal combat with a Cartel hit man on a fire escape and Reacher strangles the guy and hangs him from the rail of the fire escape with this song playing in the back ground "FREAKIN AWESOME" In the series "Big Sky" The Wolves Are Always Out for Blood (2021) There is a country band playing this song at a memorial party. Pretty Cool

Hearing the Musak version of this walking through the airport between flights was no fun. It was the 70s and there had been a few skyjackings and air disasters. It seemed like a sick joke, hearing that in the airport.

Hey great reaction 🙂 Just a note: This song was intended as a piss take on the surging evangelical movement at the time. Note the lyric 'I'm not a sinner; I never sinned' as a dig at the hypocrisy of the movement.

Very nice reaction. You might recall this as the 3rd song on one of the greatest soundtracks of all time - from Guardians of the Galaxy. (The 2 songs before it were: Hooked On A Feeling by Blue Swede & Go All The Way by The Raspberries.)
