I usually wear something other than socks when I'm using a grinder, but I have found that it's lot's of fun to cut aluminum or copper or other metals that don't spark completely naked with no guard, but the shoes are a must!
Doing it with a 9" widowmaker is even more fun!

Thanks much for a great idea and a well made video clip.
I can suggest one improvement to make it even better: It should be possible to replace the hose clamp with some piece of curved metal welded to the swing arm, so that the angle grinder body is held snugly in place. a velcro strip can then be used to hold down the angle grinder. This will make it easier/faster to attach the angle grinder to the base assembly.
(there are many ways of achieving the same result, but this is a simple one that comes to mind).

I sometimes like to use a 4 X 6 block to drill against. I like these videos
Al bajar la herramienta al punto de corte se desliza el punto de giro sobre la rosca y te da imprecisión en el corte, creo que sería mas adecuado soldar el brazo de sujeción a un tubo separador sin rosca que quede con ajuste minimo de giro sobre el tornillo para que el punto de corte no se desplace.... y todo mundo fijandose en las "botas de seguridad"
De acuerdo contigo Mayte, también pensé lo mismo cuando ví que el perno no giraba, si no que las tuercas soldadas al brazo seguían el hilo del perno creando un mínimo (casi nulo) deslizamiento y dando a lugar impresición en el corte. Es un punto a mejorar en el diseño. Por otro lado no solo fueron las botas, si no también falta de guantes, casi probable que haya trabajado con la amoladora conectada en todo momento, sin gafas, en fin. La idea del proyecto es buena (y)
Mejor lo hubieras hecho tu, así descalzo.

Great, very good idea for the stand, just think about it is possible to make removing and installing the angle grinder easier.
Why do all the work on the ground? If he had a pedestal drill the job would be much easier.
You will learn to wear safety shoes when you drop a hammer on your foot.
Angle grinders should be used with all safety equipment ,gauntlets, long sleeve shirt and safety glasses.
What about painting it to stop it rusting

Там болт м10, шаг резьбы 1,5 мм,погрешность будет обязательно. задняя часть у болгарки плохо зафиксирована, будет смещаться и прямого угла не будет. И самое главное-нахера этот гемор,чтобы отрезать полоску стали? А ежели на поток работать, то каждый раз мучаться со струбциной при зажатии,кстати , ненадёжном. Тогда производительности не будет. В общем, русский слесарь в белых носках не сверлит-понты всё это!
