As far as I remember, at that time there was a 5-Day Limit & also further more there was a Cap where if you won more than that much Cash, the remaining Cash will go to charity such as Hurricane Relief or St. Jude.
That's right. You couldn't take away more than $75.000. (And there's a very substantial California state game-show winnings tax.) The show was taped months before it showed, and as it happened, I was one of the last "away" contestants in that queue. They reserve some of the locals for the last shows in the 2-week series. When the shows finally aired, I was a little regretful to see I could have easily run the next 3 shows if I hadn't lost the 2nd. I thought JEOPARDY had taken down this tape, though.
