    Hopefully people see this before they start - the washers are only used on one side - the side with the shifter. Would be good to put that in the description or in an update to this video. There are some comments lower down asking this, but putting this as a "top level" comment hoping people see this.

      i dont thing you are correct, there are washers on both sides, check the oem diagram

    • @pearsth
      @pearsth Před 3 lety +1

      Dirt N Iron There are a total of two washers needed. If you look at the swingarm, the two washers go on the side to the left of the rear shock in the swingarm. On the right side, you don’t use any. Are you saying you used four washers when you did this, or only two?

    • @dirtniron
      @dirtniron  Před 3 lety

      Things With Wheels why do you think you only need washer in the left side? They are identical.

    • @pearsth
      @pearsth Před 3 lety +1

      @@dirtniron Only one side is needed. Kits come with only two washers. I actually thought my kit was missing washers when bought it. Take a look at this image. Part 12 in OEM diagram is the "stop disc". Only two required per swing arm. photos.app.goo.gl/3pCGE5PAzdefHziBA

    For the heating up of the swing arm I would recomend a digital heat gun next time. That way you don't bring the aluminum to the point of fatigue by heating it up too much. Still a really easy way to do this. DIY moto rebuilds.
