hey man, i think it'd be pretty helpful to show comparable modes on the pedals back to back to allow viewers to get an idea of the actual voicing of each pedal (ie. shimmer on the ehx vs sonar on the walrus). humans only have an aural memory of like a couple seconds, if i'm not mistaken, so i think that could probably help more people in the long run.
I really like that MXR
I just bought the oceans 11, it has great effects as far as tremolo and delay but I feel it’s Reverb has a harsh bite and the reverbs start sounding to similar. While I like its features,I may return it . The modulation effects seem to get a bit over powering as well. I own the first HOF but craving a more lush Reverb that also pairs well with gain . I’m at a loss

Try the dynamic mode yellow, or the mod green I thought those were good stand alone verbs
Turning the tone knob down will reduce the bite. Especially on the spring setting. I absolutely love my Oceans 11. The shimmer is what got me.
I agree, it was harsh. Turns out, after everything the Boss RV6 is ultimately the best sounding and most rewarding. The MXR was pretty good as well, but a little over the top at times. The RV6 is just perfectly voiced. No wonder all the dream pop bands used them, as well as other RV pedals by Boss. The RV5 is great too.
Great videos man, I’m choosing between the oceans 11, slo, and fathom. Any advice?

I got the Fathom and love it. It can do some awesome and weird stuff when you want it too but I can also dial it back and use the hall and plate setting and use it for a lot of stuff without it sounding unnatural. Great pedal.
No sound of modulated mode ehx oceans 11?

So I’ve been thinking about getting the hall of fame 2 reverb but which do you think is more worth the money? That or the walrus audio reverb?
the hall of fame 2 has tons of options but the walrus is so good man i love it.

AlvasMusic thanks for the reply one more question does it get “in the way” when playing chords or passages? I find myself using the dynamic mode on the oceans 11 with the ducking mode set on to avoide the reverb turning my sound into mush and not letting the chords ring out
With the mix knob set low i found you can control the effect pretty good without getting buried in the mix.

João Carneiro yo I have the walrus now and tho you can’t turn off the modulation in any mode other than the shimmer setting, it sounds fucking fantastic , beautiful verb I have tried many but none were this nice sounding, I have yet to try the nuenaber your talking about and when I do I’ll get back at you with which one sounded best to me, then again it’s all a matter of taste so u should just try them side by side if u can at a store or something,
