This is literally the entire first vocal take I did for "Still Into You" in the studio last year. I took it on my iPhone and was saving it for the right time to post. Hope you like it! Sorry about all the weird faces and the dancing awkwardly all by myself. - Hayley

Tracking - you do multiple takes a stitch together the best of each. This would be followed up with auto tune and minor tweaks to her already great voice
Listening to her sing this really makes you realize how bad you actually are at singing. Her vocals are literally insane. So much respect to people who can actually sing this song like her.

I hear the instrumental in my head hearing her sing this. You also can hear her vocals had almost no mixing at all. Insane voice, the fact she did this in one take is out of this world..

It's impressive how she managed to nail 99% of this song, but from a production standpoint this is probably one take they used as a guide and later on recorded most parts again.

It's def plausible that, unless the producer insisted on multiple takes, this is the raw, unspliced vocal used for the final album track. But if we really want to know, we need to ask her.
Most singers sing the whole song atleast once, the song could have been 30 takes chopped down to all sound perfect.

It’s so fucking hard to do single takes like this. Granted, I’m sure it wasn’t the final one used and parts were mixed and matched from other takes, but still. Super impressive and even this sounds almost flawless.

Eh. She’s in a closed space where her voice would sound ok. But if she was in a larger place with no microphone and a pair of headphones it probably wouldn’t sound as good. Lol. But of course it’ll sound better with a microphone and some autos to go with it on stage.
@@trevorlaporte5951 definitely I standard in the industry as it just fixes those slightly offkey notes if needed. Even if a singer is near perfect its just a safe bet to fix any issues. I think its more acceptable because it isnt full autotune like when TPain cranks it up full and you get that robotic effect

There’s a reason why they are two of the biggest female singers in the world. How? The final product is perfectly in tune and this isn't, not that it's not a great take, it is. 99% of big recordings will have some degree of pitch correction.
* doesn't need auto tune. All artists use at least a little bit of auto tune to perfect the vocals. Some just use more than others do.
