Unfortunately, I found this video really disappointing and I personally didn't have any takeaways as a petite woman. I appreciate that this channel is trying to offer advice to people who aren't just naturally slim and tall, but Lisa seemed to drown in many of these outfits. There are too many oversized pieces that seemed uncomfortable to be in throughout the day

The boots should have been actually over the knee and the sleeves of the cropped blazer should sit comfortably on the wris. the skirt always mini, tight at the waist and flowy. (Maybe not the outfit you meant but it did trigger me haha)

I don’t agree that wearing oversized clothing enhances a petite body. I understand the challenges, but the way to go is to get clothing tailored to fit you ❤. As they say though, you do YOU.
Tip from someone who’s seen decades of fashion trends: Buy the best quality in a size that fits you. Have good clothes tailored. Oversized jackets and baggy jeans/pants are not timeless. They are a trend. Stay away. Or you’ll regret it.
Yes!!! That!! Oversized clothes are a TREND which will go away and then you'll be left with all of those clothes not being worn anymore. And I know many will look at how baggy suddenly those items have become and will wonder as to what we're they thinking.

Apart from the high waisted jeans look which she looked the best in, she is literally drowning in everything. The really oversized coat just looks ridiculous, I am barely 5ft and tiny, you need to wear fitted clothes or risk looking like you are wearing your mums clothes! Not very inspiring for us petites really and the hem on that coat will be ruined in no time 😮
Look No. 1 👎👎👎 It is not oversized , it's just too big...Sleeves are too long and shoulder pads looks funny.
Black and white longsleeve asks for a black belt. The boots are too accentuated.
I honestly did not like any of these looks. I felt that nothing fit properly which gave a very sloppy look overall, unfortunately. The only one that gave height was the long coat but the tailoring on the hem looked uneven (longer in the front). I think rules can be broken in fashion but honestly none of these were inspiring.

Exactly, she looks like a little girl playing dress-up with her mother's clothes... I don't understand this trend of long, oversized clothing. As a very short girl myself, I really don't think any of these outfits would look flattering on me.

I even like oversized pieces, but there're some models that just don't make any sense, or really aren't for all body types, and I'm not saying this like, "hey, you can't wear this or that", I just think it takes a good sense to understand that clothes should favor the image u want to convey, and I imagine she wanted to look classy and elegant, but that really didn't happen.
The big blazer didn't look oversized in a stylish way. It just looks too big on her and it drowns her. You wear the clothes, clothes don't wear you.

Her comments about her wide hips and belly...she is literally stick thin. Does she have body dysmorphia? Please seek counseling about that. As teeny petite myself, the oversized look only works if the pieces are tailored to one's body and height. They also can't be worn all at the same time. She likes breaking the rules, and that's great if it's done well!
Not flattering and suitable for petites IMO. It looked like a little girl wearing her mom's closet.
Her long coat was literally dragging on the ground. Very unappealing. None of these outfits came remotely close to flattering proportions for petites.

The thing that I don’t like are the sleeves….they are far too long!
I guess that petite means both slim and short in this video. But all these coords are for slim and tall girls, about 170 height or taller. One from 164-5 cm height should wear these clothes with 10 cm heals. But what I see here is a small girl about 155 cm with almost no heals, and these clothes make her even shorter. If you want to see good coords for small girls, watch Chinese and Korean street style.
Agree. But there is a nuance the body of Korean and Chinese often has different proportions and what looks good on them is not very good on Europeans 😅. These are my observations.
@A.W. Yes. I noticed that the average Asian is already in the skeleton. For the same girls, this is a great option. I’m 153 cm 49 kg but in Korean and Japanese style I look ridiculous because of my chest and hips.
@A.W. And take into account individual parameters. Fitted silhouettes are more suitable for me (parameters 89-62-90) I have a short torso, if I put on something that is not fitted, then I turn into a nightstand

Concerning oversize and long dress, if one wants to look even shorter wearing them, let it be.

@A.W. I see you have not read what I posted. Petite cannot be "various body shapes". Please read its definition I have given. The subject of the dispute was only petite figure, for which these designs are unappropriate. For other "various body shapes" they are ok. But not for petite ones. You defined petite as short but possibly curvy or plus size. This is wrong. Please admit. If you are ages in industry of fashion, such ignorance is strange. But ok, it May be something personal on your behalf.
Sweetie- advice from an old crone-your tummy and hips are fine. Enjoy your body while you have it!
I’m sorry to say this, but none of these looks would look nice on petite women.
1) sleeves of the jackets are way too long and shoulders are way too big
2) again, sleeves are too long. Jeans look good thought
3) Combination of a long skirt and an oversized jacket is a big NO NO for petite women!
4) jacket itself is beautiful, but way too long for this lady. The bottom of the jacket is touching the ground as she walks and it’s getting dirty.
As a petite girl myself I LOVE an oversized blazer and refuse to give it up

Bad choices, it looks grotesque
I don't know if she's insecure about her hips, but I recommend wide leg trousers they suit anyone of any size, style it with a simple top. If you style it right you can wide-legs in many different ocassions. I love oversize stuff but sometimes too oversized makes look even smaller lol. I guess as a petite person I prefer a simple, classic, tailored-fit, balanced, easy on the eye kind of style. Something that suits my bodyshape, height and skintone.
I really appreciate that you are unapologetically petite like me! It's great to see a beautiful lady defying the cliches - as though illusions can hide height!!! You have a great sense of fabric weight & use its movement beautifully. 🥰

Some clothes are just meant to be worn in the right size, like padded blazer. Oversized looks cool on petite as long as you know how to pick the right fabric, style and cutting.
I am petite too (1,60) and the second looks is actually one of my signature looks, but I trick I use is to always take the blazers to the taylor to adjust the length of the sleeves, you can get a bit of the oversize look but having to constantly pull the sleeves up makes it look like it is somebody else's and it is not confortable. Loved the looks, please do more videos for petite girs!

As a petite woman, I would say a lot of these outfits are not very chic😅 they are definitely trendy not very timeless. There is little balance on her figure and this is very much oversized oversized oversized. Also, for most people heels over an inch are really impractical and NOT effortless
I like all of the outfits she chose. I am her height as well. The difference for me is that while the super oversized coat/blazer is very much in style and of the moment, I find it's too much for my frame. What I do is I chose more tailored pieces (fitted more in the waist, shoulders, and arms) and size up to get the oversized yet complimentary look for my frame. Great looks, though!
Renee, I hope you try again. I think the secret/s to the oversize coats/blazers is that they are really beautiful quality both cut and and fabric and when unbelted and falling open will reveal as a backdrop revealing a cinched waist or form revealing shape.
As a petite woman, I usually wear a jacket one size up not THE oversized jacket that weighs me down and looks like a power shoulder on.
However, you pull it great because you are pretty or your figure, I don’t know. But every pieces look great on you. That matters,right?
One thing though, I would personally like a bit shorter length than the coat you are wearing. It looks a bit long for us, petite girls, I guess. 😅
Final comment? Everything is about you and your attitude towards it. No rules needed, no judgement of others matters.

Love this! We really need to move away from the typical rules and only wearing things that are "flattering" (i.e. what makes us look taller or skinnier). It's too limiting and doesn't leave a lot of room for experimentation or individual expression.

All of these looks represent one thing I am trying hard to avoid as a petite: looking like a 10-year-old girl who stole her mother's or father's clothes and trying them in front of the mirror.

Beautiful clothes but I felt the blazers were too oversized and did not look flattering. I love a long coat and I know that this length is very fashion-forward, but you could literally see several inches of dirt on the hem from it dragging on the ground!!😮 Knowing that it was catching all the dirt on the ground would not be something I would want to bring into a store, a restaurant or my home!

I appreciate the video and at the end of the day, wear what you like and makes you feel comfortable, confident or whatever you are looking for. Personally, most of her outfits are too big. The first looks like a little girl wearing her dad's jacket because she's cold. Doesn't look good IMHO at all. The rest is meh.
