Sea Defence Fort - St Helens | Isle of Wight

In this video, we take a short ride over to St Helens Fort (part of the Solent Forts), where we dock up, jump off and explore this abandoned fortress!
The Palmerston Forts that encircle Portsmouth were built in response to the 1859 Royal Commission dealing with the perceived threat of a French invasion. The forts were intended to defend the Dockyard in Portsmouth. Source: Wikipedia
