      This was excellent David thanks. Mine is similar but I never use that variable wand. "Az ass shy-te!" Very interesting upgrades. I have a hose extension that coils up constantly. My Karcher is about 3 years old. Couple of things I'd mention: purge the system before trying disconnect hoses. Also a bloke did our drains with a different but similar system. WD40 your connections. The plastic can often lock Cheers. Den.

    Thank you David, I have managed to wash my car today with ease after watching this video. I got a stubby gun and yes what a tool, I also went for a snow foam cannon and all the gear. I am a long time autoglym fan so I went for the whole polar range and I am impressed. After todays wash just like yourself with the karcher I must get the long hose. And if you think you get bad weather in Glasgow spare a thought for me in almost constant wind here in orkney. Anyway love your videos and always look forward to a new one. Thanks pal.

      Thankyou mate, autoglym has a great range and the fact its so accessible in halfords and B&Q makes it such a well used brand. The longer hose makes a huge difference, not having to move the machine about will make a world of difference to the lifespan of the machine.

    Interesting. I have a K7 PW, it's ok. But I was always disappointed with the output from the adjustable lance. I have a petrol PW too, with the different colour nozzles. The water jet is 'clean', compared to the Karcher - which seems a bit 'aerated' even on the most powerful setting. Anyway, I was browsing amazon and spotted a replacement lance, with the 5 different colour nozzles, I bought it. Hi David, love your videos. I inherited a non-K series Karcher pressure washer and wanted to update it for car cleaning. Following your video I've purchased the upgrades from this video plus 2 connectors to allow the new push fit K connectors to work. Unfortunately, when I purchased the MJJC foam cannon I asked for the Karcher connector (which fits the K series gun) when I actually wanted the fitting for the stubby gun. Is there somewhere I can get the correct connector from, or do I have to go back to the supplier, or perhaps MJJC themselves? many thanks, Dave Whittle

    @UnseenSpirit Před 2 lety +1

    In terms of snow foam, have you looked at the difference in performance with bith bottles? I gave away my Karcher FJ6 bottle and got a proper snow foam lance, but I'm skeptical if there's any difference or how much if there is a difference. What I find is more important is the snow foam itself. I've tried various brands and some are better than others.

    • @DavidMcBay
      @DavidMcBay  Před 2 lety +1

      Ive not directly compared the performance, tbh ive never thought of doing that. I think it depends on how you want to use your snowfoam, a lot of people apply a prewash then layer the snowfoam on top to get a better dwell of the stronger prewash, so thicker foam is better there. Your correct though when you say its all about the foam itself, if you use a bad foam, it doesnt matter how thick it is, its not going to clean.

I need one of those stubby gun extenders and the rubber coated nozzles in my life. One of the reasons I have not bought the extender is I had considered the under body trolley adapter which comes with the pipes but I am not sure yet and my wife thinks I am crazy if I get that but I think she thinks that anyway. I was going to get them from carscope but will look at KDN again. A quick question have you ever tried the K2 from a bucket as I was going to buy one for my Father in law but he doesn't have an outside tap. Good tip on changing from 40 to 25 degree head I seem to have got lazy recently and only ever use the 40. Thanks.

      Thanks mate, just had a look and looks like they have potentially updated the gun from when I put the link there, I actually have this style of stubby gun for my other pressure washer and there is little difference

      @@DavidMcBay The size of a hole on your aftermarket nozzle that you purchased, it got a size that they called orifice ranging from 020 to 040.. different power of pressure washer need different size. if using too large orifice size the pressure will drop and if using too low size the motor will stress out.. just wonder what size the k2 use.. do you have watched imjoshv and obsessed garage test on various brand of pressure washer ? usually they tested it with various size of nozzle and measured the pressure with each of the size.

      so the rubber ones are 035, I don’t know what the others are however I haven’t noticed a difference in pressure with them.
