I have an SB-2000 and I am on love with it
I ended up getting the SVS PB-2000 Pro from y'all because the non pro was sold out, happy that happened. Didn't think I would use the app, but it's clutch when I'm feeling lazy and the bass isn't neighbor friendly lol.
I actually bought the PB12-NSD last November for $499 brand new from SVS and tried to justify trading up to the PB2000 Pro and just couldn’t get myself to do it because the PB12-NSD IS STILL blowing me away hitting hard down to 18hz.
I would be very happy with either one. The pro looks really great. My answer is -50° F
I love my sb 2000, wouldn't change it for any other sub.
I love my dual PB 2ks with minidsp 2x4 hd , minidsp is a game changer and makes life so much easier to set them up.
Any benefit of SB2000 Pro over non-pro with a receiver with Dirac? I can already switch presets with different levels of bass boost so not sure the DSP stuff will really do much for me
For the tech pipe. My guess would be "Minus 27 Celsius"
Love the SVS vs SVS Pro Comparison, but new & Pro is always better !
As for Tech Pipe I'm guessing -18°C ?
I have the option of getting the new on-1000 pro or the older pb2000. What would you recommend?
What is the best one for a desktop setup .. ?
I got the pb2000 on sale (699) and im not a hardcore tuner when it comes to audio, but the pb2000 does do the job very well. Im not regretting the purchase
I bought the PB12 NSD brand new last November and it blows clean down to 18hz. Don’t get me wrong, the PB2000 Pro is a beast but so are the PB2000 & PB12 NSD’s.
Very satisfied with my purchase.
I bought the pb2000 on sale for 699 too lol I get it in 10 days can’t wait
Garrett I did the same thing bought a pair of PB2000 for 699$ plus I love the steel cover
It will last forever and it’s cat proof and it has an led indicator on it and these have been the bomb for many years and still are !
I’m trying to decide right now. Price is pb2000 $700 and pb2000 pro $1100. I’d like to get the pros but $400 is a pretty big difference. Wonder how much difference in sound I would actually notice
I’m trying to decide between pb 2000 and pb 2000 pro. It sounds like the pro is a pretty good upgrade, but the price difference today is $400 which is a tough pill to swallow
@@loganbrantley7216 Ya, I decided I had to have the latest and greatest and went with the Pro. I've never heard the original PB 2000, but the Pro is amazing, I'm very happy with the purchase. Movies sound like a movie theater, and music sounds like a live concert. I did do some research though and found an open box sale, and got one with a small scratch on the back for around $250 off. But maybe some Black Friday sales coming up?..
Thanks, nice vid supported with graphs.
i got the 2 svs sb2000 pros love them
See them moving, love them!
Hello, after using Audysee how should i use the app to imrove even further pb 2000 pro performance?
If you pause the video and screen cap the frequency response graphs for the PB-2000 vs the pro, you can clearly see that the non-pro has a +3dB higher output at 16Hz.
I can definitely hear the difference🥰
Pros sounded little more fuller. Very nice comparison 🥰
I have 2 pb 2000 and I love them
I'd take a guess at minus 59 deg for the little critter.
Hi. Great vidéo. I'm Frensh ans i'm sorry for my "English". I have one question please about the pro version. With Denon x3700/4700 séries and XT32 calibration : dsp + XT32 work great together or the dynamic is poor because too much EQ ?
Better to get vtf2-mk5?
Hi sr. I hope you got a great Thanksgiving. Sorry for bother you, can I send you a file of my measurement using rew and umik 1? I don't know if the graphic is ok or I have to do more measurements
I have a couple of the old PC12+ cylinders from SVS. They cannot be controlled by the SVS APP, but at least they do have the same control functions. I just have to do it from the sub instead. Besides, I don't own a mobile device/smart phone anyway.
Beautiful intro 🕺🕺🕺
I found the pb2000 the metal grill is cat proof and my amp has a parametric equalizer for the subwoofers So I don’t even need an app and this was the best place for me
I have exactly the same opinion. Metal grills looks much better. And Audysey XT32 works good with subwoofers as well. So, there's no need to pay extra $.
Finally someone did this review. Thanks
Thank you for the great video. can you give me a hint, if an preexisting sb 2000 can be combined with the new sb 2000 pro in the same room, or will you recomend to look for another sb 2000 instead of the new sb 2000 pro? Tank you in advance.
NICE... you actually got Larry from SVS to assist you with the sweep? That's from the horses mouth there... :)
Great video man.. high quality stuff.
Larry didnt do the sweeps with me. He was just there to help make sense of the results
Tecpipe Steampunk Steam Chiller -15°C or 5°F
hi can someone tell me at what height the surround and back surround speakers are placed for a configuration 7.2.4 for a sitting listening position
I don't know if everyone goes above or below the ear
Thank you
at or one foot above for surrounds and max two feet above for rear surrounds
What about a test PB-2000 with mini dsp and REW v PB2000 pro? Is it worth the extra nearly £600 in the uk for a pair. Wouldnt a minisdsp and REW do a better job?
The MiniDSP could actually fine tune a bit more accurately, you are not wrong there. I own one myself. The difference is the newer driver, the extra headroom, and pretty much doing almost exactly the SAME thing as the min-DSP tuning in one unit. Having listened to both of these subs, not thinking the pro would shine as much, but it did make a very noticeable difference. I would go the integrated route, and pick up the extra power of the sub personally.
I'm selling a pair of a year old Rel sx212 because they suck for movies. Any suggestions? I am planning to get 1 JL gotham v2 for my 12 feet wide and 24feet long movie room isn't it too much? Planning for expanding. Can I tune it perfectly for now till later? I want to spend once not selling and go for another. Thank you for your great reviews.
I have 1 PB 2K pro. Planning on getting a 2nd one. If there’s a great sale for these I’ll jump on it.
I meant the SVS PB 2000Pro. If there is a great sale/deal I would jump on it.
If like me you have the refular pb2000 its not worth upgrading better to got up to the 3000 or more. If your looking for a new aub then yeah get the pro for sure
Please tell me how can I purchase a sb2000 pro. With power supply 220 volts. Because I have to use it in Qatar. Can svs send it at one of my usa address. Can I use my credit card for pay. They give any discount on two subs together purchased. Thanks Mr Dude.
Guide me.
I have a rather long question and would really like to have all of you knowledgeable folk's input on what I can or should do. I have a 2,000$ budget to upgrade what I currently have as a home theater.
I have a pair of Klipsch R-28F towers, a Klipsch reference R-25C center channel, a pair of Klipsch synergys for rear backs, and a SVS PB-1000 sub that is awesome coming from what I used to have (a cheap Klipsch 10" reference sub) I have a Onkyo 7.2 receiver that I need to upgrade, it was handed down to me but it is now failing.
With all that said, I was looking into buying a Sonos Arc, Sonos sub, and the smaller sonos for the rear, but have read and watched videos that the atmos isn't 100% delivered without eARC, which my tv doesn't have. I liked the reviews and simplicity/no cords so it also looks clean and neat.
I then began to think about upgrading what I have - I don't know what to do...for instance I see a video about this new SVS pro sub, and can sell the one I have to upgrade, or should I buy another PB-1000 to pair with what I have? Also what if I buy a PB-2000, or other sub that isn't the PB-1000, will that throw the sound off?
I also saw a review by Zreviews I believe the channel is, and he raved about the SVS ultra center channel. I was wondering if compared to the Sonos Arc and the Ultra center channel which would sound better in your opinions? Is there another center channel that is as good or better around the 750$ price range. I want to be able to hear clear dialogue and do so in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep with low volume.
I also was wondering if I could buy the SVS ultra bookshelves to replace my Klipsch that are to my understanding the bottom of the Klipsch line, so I'm not sure how good they are compared to other speakers.
So should I go with the Sonos, or should I buy the Ultra Bookshelves and Ultra Center channel combo...will they make that much of a difference in what I have and the sub too?
I also want to mention that I know jack about audio, anything about ohms, calibration, or anything to be honest. I just want something to sound great with both Hip Hop/Mexican Music, and movies. I know the Arc offers atmos, but I can later add speakers to a good setup - I just need you folk's help, thank you.
Very good. I have 2 sb2000 pro’s but one wish. I would like a small led light to say when the speaker is active. Any thought’s?
Im new to home theater system looking for something for my living room my budget is $1200 for everything what would you recommend?
1200 total? start small and build it piece by piece. The SVS prime satellite system is great for the cash its a 5.1 in a box
can you please get back to me I have a question how much better really is the SVS PB 2000 pro vs the old one I mean is it really enough to tell the difference for the price I want to buy one but I need to know which one to go with I will not use dsp how much deeper is the base on the pro vs the old one for a couple hundred bucks is it really worth upgrading That's my question please let me know thanks if it's only a tiny bit difference I don't see the reason to upgrade but let me know You're the expert thanks
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude here is a bit different question:
I can get two brand new SB2000 for a price of single SB2000 pro from a local dealer.
Don't really care about the app, as the receiver has room correction.
Would it be a smart choice to go with the two of previous model instead of single newer?
I don't doubt the Pro is better, but you could have displayed the charts better. Clicking between them on video makes it hard to compare. If you really wanted to show the benefits, you should have overlayed the charts on a single graph. REW can do that, so I'm disappointed in that lack of transparency here, intentional or not.
Youre disappointed? Get out of here with all of that man. I did film the overlays. We talked about the same thing as what was shown here. I thought the message was better conveyed with the first one without overlay. I could possibly upload the overlay portion unedited so you can be happy.
I'm confused. Lack of transparency suggests an intention to deceive? Just because it is preferred to see a chart differently, in no way brings deceptive intentions into this. I applaud the HUGE jump forward in transparency in having a quantifiable opinion in the charts, it took many hours (5-6?) more time to add that in easy.
That Home Theater Dude more disappointed in how you handle criticism so contentiously. It’s the proper way to compare data in the same family, on the same axis. It’s data analytics 101. Don’t do it for me. Do it because it’s the right way to.
tkcdac But that's how data on graphs are originally meant to be portrayed (that's how I was taught, many others too) that's how many comparison graphs look like to easily tell the differences. He's not wrong on that. However I do understand the time it takes for this guy to work so it's no surprise if he'd need to do things quickly and efficiently.
I’m guessing -40c
Hey man svs 2000 pro its better from klipsh 150spl? Please help🌝
yep I have a pb 2k pro its much better and digs a bit deeper too. And handles transients better.
As far as the temperature of the tecpipe, i am going with -28.9 Celsius or -20 Fahrenheit.
Robert! send your address for packages to sales@tecpipes.com for your free pipe!
your guess was perfect!
Hi mate, great vid. I was hoping if anyone can help me here. Im looking to get a subwoofer to pair with my bowers and wilkins m1 satellite speakers. Its a 5.1 set up for an open plan living room. I currently have a velodyne eq max 10 and feel like its time for an upgrade. I primary watch movies and want that chest thumping sound, but cannot fit anything bigger than a pb1000.
Im looking at either the pb1000 or sb2000. Im choosing these two for the price but leaning towards the sb2000 because of space. My question is, is there are huge differnece in svs ported vs sealed subs? I mainly watch movies and listen to hiphop music. My research tells me to go with a ported sub, but can a sb2000 still sound really good compared to a pb1000?
Thanks for your input!

Hello, I enjoyed the video but was wondering if I could get some help. I can get two PB2000s (non-pro) for about $1100 with their Black Friday Sale they have going on. Or I could get two PB2000 Pros for $1,530. I was wondering if the pros are really worth the extra $400 or if I should just get the standard PB2000s and save the extra money. The room is about 10 feet wide, 20 feet long, and 9 feet high with vaulted ceilings. Thanks for the help!
I have the same dilemma but I thought they were 599 each (1200 for 2)-- where are you getting 1100?
@@flavor12346 I get 5% cashback for using paypal and then I had a 5% discount code and I just put the rough total to keep things simple. I went with the ones that were on sale and decided to save the money as the pros are just the newer version and from what I can tell the nonpros are super solid subs.
@@DayWalkerSC400 how do you get 5% cash back from PayPal? Just by purchasing it through PayPal?
I was facing the same thing. Non pro 599.00 or pro for 899.00. I had already talked myself into the pro but still on the fence. So I called SVS to help with the decision. The SVS rep said the pro is a improvement but the sale of the non pro at 599.00 was great deal and was not worth the extra 300.00 upgrade. So take it for what it’s worth, and that was words from the manufacturer. I did go ahead and ordered the non pro SB-2000
Home theater dude, can u help me in this i want to sell my speakers what is a best place to sale it
Minus 22 Celsius
OK... I wanted SVS PB-3000... But it's extremely expensive in my country (like, 2 times more, than in U.S.). And I don't like the 2000's Pro new grille, I like the metal one. So, I'm back to Klipsch SPL-150 for choosing. And now I realized, that there's PB-2000 with a metal grill and for a reasonable price. What You think, is it better (non-pro version) than Klipsch SPL-150? (I have whole set of Klipsch 5.1 now)
PB-2000 - $1100
PB-2000 Pro - $1500
Klipsch SPL-150 - $820
ha. Why wouldnt they show the graphs together if its a comparison? My memory is good, but not that good.
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude Appreciate the offer but no thank you. I was more just poking some fun rather than being really interested. Plus not looking to drop my email on some youtube comments. But I've played around with that software a little and I know there's a learning curve. The more you use it the more you'll be able to make some cool content.
I'm going to say 37 degrees F

No technical data on the sb2000 pro vs the sb2000. That's annoying.
Just my own opinion, if you are going to show graphs again like this again for comparison, show both at the same time with colors that pop. It's hard to see the details of the changes when you are toggling back and forth. It would be better with both overlaying each other.
