Exactly!!!! AND, as Gov. DeSantis says, this is why people do not trust the media. They leave out important facts to advance their liberal agenda. The media is the enemy of the people. Americans are waking up and pushing back. We need media reform in this country. We need a media that tell both sides EQUALLY and lets us make up our own minds. We don't need Republican or Democrat media. We need non-biased media.

Because it not JUST for K-3. Stop repeating cherry picked information. Especially when its half of a full sentence.
"Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards."
"or in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate "
This part here is purposefully dubious as best and awfully vague at worst because it opens the flood gates for banning conversations about sexual orientations in later grades up through 12 at the behest of parents which is always a net negative. In case you forgot teens also fit under a developmental age thus contradicting the K-3 point and making it moot. That's the part people have a problem with. If it was just K-3 nobody is going to argue that let alone do it. There is no need for the ladder half of the sentence.

I am an international educator with many years of experience. The entire world has worked so hard for so many years to create laws and environments for children to grow and learn protected from harmful intent. While biological facts are being taught starting at age 12 the international age for sexual subjects is 14 for good reasons. There is a giant difference if the subject is introduced in a public general mandatory educational environment or in a private setting.
To introduce any sexual content as a mandatory lecture to children under 12 is pathetically incompetent, reckless grooming and proof of criminal intend to hurt children at a very vulnerable age. It is double concerning because it is now done by the very people who are supposed to protect the children by profession.
Children under the age of 12 should never be exposed to sexual content in education because they DO NOT have the psychological maturity to process the information.
One big part of educational professional's expertise lies in the ability to estimate the children's capability to gain from a lecture. Real educators will avoid at all cost to introduce age inappropriate subjects and goals because they damage the children's motivation to learn and create confusion and frustration. Subjects that are not suitable for general education in schools need to be handled by the families who have a much better understanding of their children's abilities and mental capacity.

@Mitch Moore The original poster made the claim that “all they’re doing is confusing kids”, to which I argued that “just because something is confusing, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be taught.” You may not find math confusing, but a lot of other people do. But as I said before, the subject of “math” is, in the context of my comment, completely arbitrary.
But I think we’re actually in agreeance on this… that kids should know that there’s different people out there (and like how some families have two moms while most have a mom and dad) and that’s it. Further education on gender would probably be a waste of time.

Nothings wrong with a basic health class in middle/highschool, but school should be about learning things that will help you prepare for college or life after schooling. Sexuality should not be a factor in our schooling, and should be taught to children by the parents when they are ready. Teachers do not need to share sexual orientation or preference to their students, children are so easily influenced, you can’t create ideas in their head unnaturally with your personal beliefs. That goes both ways too, whether you support LGBTQ or not, nobody should be pushing ideas into children’s minds.
