  • We wanted to know if a recently established wetsuit brand could compete with the big swinging dicks of the neoprene industry. So we sampled Oceanside, California's, Volte wetsuits to find out.
    We tested:
    Supreme 3/2: www.voltewetsuits.com/product...
    Premium Hooded 4/5: www.voltewetsuits.com/product...
    Full wetsuit test: stabmag.com/hardware/these-ar...

If you actually want this to be relevant you need to do this unbiased by renoving all the logos and testing the wetsuits. Otherwise this is just another ad for a wetsuit manufacturer

What happened to Volte? I bought the 4.5 3.5 after this review and loved the suit and now I can't get another one.

    Yo mikey,
Were you given any XCEL, Buell or Patagonia suits this year, also Need Essentials suits are coming up as well.
For others out there, I will say that I just bought a Patagonia Hooded R3, yes it was expensive but worth it. I wore it for the first time yesterday, it was so warm I was getting literally steamed out and wanted to flush it but was too comfy by the time I paddled out to do it! It's thicker and doesn't have the stretch and flex of techno butter material but its solid construction and so freakin warm. The suit was dry and hot the whole sessh, highly recommend if you are dreading the approaching winter and spring chill and can afford it.

it's funny how they're wearing a 4.5mm hooded suit in California. I surfed Santa Barbara and up near San Francisco in a 3.5mm all year long, and I live in NJ
