I wonder why the builders persist in building such huge houses these days? How many “reception rooms” does one need? So the unseeded one becomes a music room. A kitchen diner AND a badly placed dining room? Two bedrooms are used as offices and two of the others look as though they have never been occupied. And at a time when youngsters can’t afford to get a foot on the housing ladder, and we are crying out for starter homes .
