Regarding the alchemy specialization. You don't need to use those absurdly expensive mats. Do the cheap specializations, like potion master, then talk to the NPC to drop it, and pay the 150g fee on the transmute specialization trainer to get it, without needing to do the quest.
Been chain watching your videos! Loved the profession one and the teir list for classes, tanks and healers, lookomt forward to the dps, if you ever make a class by class in depth look for them i cant wait

200,000 is if you want to be ahead of the curve doing HC progression. If you're not looking to min-max everything and are willing to wait for things to calm down a bit 50,000-100,000 should be plenty sufficient.
Consider the average player isnt racing other guilds on their server for the hardest content. Its a good mix for us who do like to be competitive and have the time in game. 200k might seem like a ton. But we have 3-4 months to get ready, sell your Primordial/mats and make some so there really is a bunch of time right now. @Orly90

What about stocking gems for sockets on gear upgrades? Will there be a lot of socket on the gear from leveling, or not really until 85 when we want the new gems?
How should I go about getting ready when I have no foot in classic already? Just hit 80, get basic dungeon gear, then just farm gold? My paladin is only lv54 atm xd and I plan on leveling up a hunter/mage too for cata.
Depends on how hard you're gonna go for Cata, unless you're going into heroic raiding the first week, I'd just get all characters leveled up and some gold so that basic stuff like professions doesn't feel impossible. There's a lot of time until Cata, so you'll have time to do some gearing in Wrath so that the Cata leveling doesn't feel so bad.
Could pay for a boost now if you have the $ Otherwise yea, get done leveling, get some basic gear, farm gold, etc The greens from the first few cata quest lines will be as good as ICC 25 man raid gear so I wouldn't focus on gear too much

@@edwdishuge2401 If you aren't hardcore just chill, level, do some heroic dungeons, do some gammas, if you plan on leveling another char, buy heirlooms for the marks and just enjoy the expansion. Parses for old content won't likely matter since classes change. But finding a guild makes raiding much easier, then you dont have to show curve on first week along with 2m gs and 100 parses. :^)
The way it originally worked was that it got turned into justice points even over 4k, then like a week later, all justice points over 4k to turned into gold. It'll be during pre-patch, so you have no use for the additional justice points. The gold you get equates to 5.5g per emblem.
Get 75k honor cap then also get your WG commendations since those will stick around in your bags and you’ll be able to turn those into honor after you buy your honor gear at 85

The rest 1.2k needs to come from all other PvP currencies in the game, including Venture coins, Spirit Shards and even Stone Keeper shards. With WG marks, specifically 30 Shards = 49 honor. In OG Cata at release, WG marks gave 50 Honor, but later it was changed to 150. So if we are going to get the later patch for everything, it's better to blow all SKSs on marks before prepatch.
My cata prep has consisted of getting Loremaster for some reason? I dno lol I just have ~500 quests left in Kalimdor then I’m done and will get Seeker title on the way
But why do that in classic server ? Do it in retail so it actually stays in your account . No one knows the future of classic if it will stop at a certain expansion or get fresh servers

Ive also gotten to do a lot of quests I’ve never done that I’ll probably never do again too
I remember back in the day when getting into cata 10,000 gold was considered a ton of money. So much so that it wasn't until firelands came out that I was able to get my travelers tundra mammoth due to getting a boe staff that sold for 19k.
You can swap profession specialisations for gold and you only have to do one spec quest - once in other words a new alchy char can just go potions, tell their trainer they want to swap and pick up transmute for gold instead of primals or truegold
@TerraOblivion27 killed first raids and quit wow entirely. I haven't played retail since cata. It sucked. ToC is when I started hating wow. ICC was good, but sadly I just saw where the game was heading and I wasn't wrong. Retail is just terrible.
I think SoD is fun and will probably decrease the amount of people playing Cata. Personally, I'll probably sweat like hell on Cata release, get burned out, and then raid log while playing SoD on the side. I know myself.
With the way PvP is going for SoD the game won’t last long. By far the worst PvP has ever been. Raiding 1 raid ever few months won’t save SoD. SoD is a lot about PvP and when you’re literally getting 1 shotted all the time I don’t see SoD lasting
@@TheTruDocsod isn't about pvp xD it's purely who can do there pve rotation on players and who has the most consumes on. At least it's not competitive pvp. More for fun and messing around, nothing serious at all imo

Get bank alts and stuff them with craftig goods from tbc/wotlk or even classic. On my server most prices drop so much right now.

None of the leveling gear will have sockets-- only once you reach 85 at which point you might as well use the new gems
