You do NOT have ugly knuckles. A friend told me ten years ago I had weird looking hands and it became a huge insecurity of mine and only recently have I realised that they’re not lol
My mom used to tell me that my head was too big for my body, and that I'd always be a "big boned/beefy" woman, never slender or svelte. I'm sure it's a total coincidence that I grew up to have body issues and an eating disorder in my late teens/early twenties. I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it, but I really wish she'd kept those thoughts to herself. :(

@@SouthernASMRSounds it funny how the human mind works. Someone says something hurtful and it stays with you but someone says something nice and you forget it. At least that my experience anyway. You right most people don't think before they speak. My mom always said fallow the 10 second rule. Meaning that if someone can't fix it in 10 seconds ( food in their teeth, zipper down , things like that) you don't say anything. You never know what someone Self conscious about. Let me say I wish I had your beautiful hands. My dog and I thank you for the wonderful videos.
@@LLandS18 what a good rule, I will have to remember that! And you’re right. I’m sure there are hundreds of nice things that have been said to me and I forgot, yet the dozens of cruel things haunt me to this day. Sometimes I don’t even think they were intended to be mean, so why do they hurt me so much? (Rhetorical question, human psychology😅
My mom once told me that I’d never be as slim as my sister and I should just stop trying. She didn’t mean to hurt me I’m sure, she struggles with body image a lot herself but it was one of the most hurtful things anyone has ever said to me

I remember reading those at my grandmas as well lol. Great bathroom reads. A few years ago, I came across a 1990 sears catalogue. And that sucker was thick. They was selling those small CD boomboxes, with the speakers on each side, for $250! Compact Disks was for the rich folk back in those days. Cassette tapes worked just fine for me. Until the stereo ate your favorite tape and turned it into a birds nest. 👎🏼

Up here in the north we had Miles Kimball and Lillian Vernon catalogs. I loved looking through them! Then I worked for Miles Kimball in college and it like blew my mind that I was the one making the personalized dog bandannas. LOL

Oh gosh, I used to laugh so hard at my grandma's Harriet Carter catalogs. There were so many weird and funny products I couldn't imagine anyone wanting when I was a child.

Someone commented on one of her recent videos and said she should use a different angles because they didn’t like the way her knuckles looked. I swear people really do find the smallest things to complain about🤦🏼♀️
I've also been told that I have hideous elbows...in a video where my elbows weren't even visible.
