  • Today we will make an Octagonal Mug from chart paper. But please ensure that you do not pour coffee in it. Take a chart sheet 27 x 15-cm and make 3-cm wide strips along the entire length. Also draw a line 6-cm from the base. The chart paper will be divided into 9 strips. The 9-cm portion will be the height and the 6-cm portion will be the base. Make sharp folds along all the vertical and horizontal lines. Cut and discard one small rectangle. In the others you just need to cut along the 6-cm lines. Decorate the model with cello tape of a contrasting colour. Overlap the 9th portion over the 1st one and glue them to give the model a cylindrical shape. While gluing the base ensure that all the strips overlap over one another. Apply glue on each strip and then stick it. You can enhance the beauty of the mug by adding a handle to it. You can also decorate the mug with stars and cello tape. Don’t drink coffee in it but use it to keep pens and pencils.
