I love this! Thanks for sharing your great ideas with us! I’ve done something similar to this, except with my Bible. I got so tired of covering up my mistakes in my journaling Bible, that I finally bought an older journaling Bible at a discount, took it apart, made copies, put it in a disc-bound notebook (old happy planner). Now I can add to/take out notes, charts, journaling, art, copies from study Bibles, etc. as I go. It’s been so helpful for me to keep multiple notes, articles, charts, etc from multiple sources in the same place! And if I mess up on something, I can just take it out, replace it with another copy of that page and start over! I can divide the notebook up into different books of the Bible (in separate happy planners), as my notes grow. This method has both changed and simplified my Bible study/journaling adventure for the better, for sure. Can’t wait to incorporate all your great ideas into to it, now 😊

You are truly one of the most creative people I've come across. What an excellent idea - and I like the repurposing of your supplies. Truthfully, as good stewards, I think it is responsible in our Christian walk to use our resources wisely. Thanks so much for this inspiration. You can bet I will be doing this since I have notes spread out amongst different small notebooks and they should be gathered together. I have happy planners, I have unused tab sets, I have tons of sticky notes! I'm loving this idea.

You have probably seen the Mr. Pen journals, size A5, but I have just discovered these nice journals, refillable, made nicely. They are not any more expensive than the others! They are quite a bargain, I think. I ordered two! Love Mr. Pen products. They should last a long time. 😉
Cat, the papers for disc bound planners can be pricey. You may want to invest in the punch. I bought mine years ago...before Happy Planner even. It was a good investment.

I love this idea! I already have several Happy Planner things to make a workbook. Just got to figure out what to use for tabs. I've been in the book of Revelations studying. Instead of using tiny notebooks of which got destroyed but a spilled drink.
I think those Bible tabs would go great in a composition book for writing scripture. There’s a woman on CZcams and she turns composition notebooks into gorgeous junk journals. She adds lace to the edges and adds pages. I’m sure you could do Tippins in the composition book. I love the one you have Cat!! I’m currently taking a Bible Journal Painting Workshop and I’m painting the cover of a $.50 composition notebook. I just ordered some guided reader strips because I constantly reread the same sentences.

What a great idea! The highlight strips are great for a dyslexic. They make whole page transparent, colored overlays to assist reading but the strip is awesome! It will help with tracking the printed text.

“Bible Note-taker” is a suggestion , a great idea to upcycle and reuse. I love these tips on how to use and save money on items many of us have lying around esp as the cost of living goes up and our drawers/cabinets accumulate bits and pieces of unused stationery ❤

I just bought a happy planner that was on sale but found a different planner to use for planning. I will use the happy planner in a way you are using it.

Girl that's exactly what I was thinking too just now because it's actually what I'm doing writing out the blue prints info. from the Life Application Study Bible and it's like the blue print of the whole Bible... I think we may be on to something. The full name I thought about was
"The Family Blue Print" but it may be confusing thinking the whole family was involved with the adventure 🤔

Always enjoy your tips Cat! Thanks for sharing! This year I have been studying the jewish roots of Christianity using Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum’s amazing teachings. In addition to my yearly wide margin bible, I also decided to get the Legacy standard notebook bible to house my NT notes. And the individual OT scripture study notebooks to house my notes for OT study time. Love the amount of writing space! I also added in using small colorful composition notebooks for studying topics with a table of contents and page numbers (I put the table of contents in the back of the notebook.)
I also decided to go with brown ink over black in my bibles and for notes. I found the black too distracting when I go back to re-read. I’m loving the Zebra Sarasa .5 pens. God bless!

Tks cat I need this cause I have old planner that I have done nothing with what an awesome new thing bible and journaling things never gets old oh he is a laugh I am changing into a new bible for church,I took 3 bibles with me i still don't know,so i have the esv journaling interleaved, KJV creative , and my regular one so I was loaded my husband looked at me crazy
I have about 65,456,876 notebooks ...simple..from dollar tree and sone ringed notebooks they have prayers in all of them.. im VERY close to getting a notebook completely finished been using it since 2022

I’ve thought about a 5-star notebook and decorate it but not sure how to set those up. Can you please do a video of how to set up a composition book and a spiral book one please??? I have been trying to figure out a way to make a notebook with things that I think are important about each Book of the Bible and have came up empty minded on it!!! This is a great idea!!! Thank goodness for our thinkers out there!!!
I don’t have expander discs, so I created 2 books, a New Testament and an Old Testament. I ran out of dividers, but have colored card stock that I’m going to use to finish it. I’m so excited to get started writing in this notebook!!!

wow cat...you didnt disappoint in this one... as you never do!!! as for a name....what about the hiker? as in your hiking verses /notes etc.. from other sources.. just like a hitch hiker does when traveling or traverses through towns locations places..picking up dropping off from where you were, in your bible travels...or name it the traverser. thank you again for a great ideas ;];];]

I was thinking about making something like this with my Happy Planners / Happy Notes that are collecting dust, but I wasn’t sure how I could make the most out of them. I had bought a disc punch so I can use that. Yet, I still have the dated planner pages, too. 😊
What size discs do you have on the one you showed in this video? Most of my discs are Classic aka Medium, but I also have a set in the Expander size. 😅

I do everything in my iPad, which I love. I can add as many pages as I want. I can create as many files as I want. It is always with me and my Bible (also on my iPad).
I love journals and notebooks, etc, but I lose track of them or find one I like better and use it for a while. When I moved 3 years ago I found dozens of partially used or unused journals, most I had forgotten I even had. I am a a journal junkie, so I went cold turkey. No more notebooks. Everything on my iPad, all in one place.
There's something that works for everyone. I can't do my Bible Study time on the same thing I use for entertainment. I can't take it seriously. Plus there is something so special about the relationship between pen & paper I love it 🖊 📖🩵🤍🩷
@@catwoods5499 , I understand. A lot of people don’t get why I do it. I just love the freedom of having all my resources wherever I am. Also, all my notes are handwritten with my Apple Pencil because I remember better if I write them myself. And ai love the physical act of writing. And my iPad has always been a work device for me, much more so than an entertainment device, although I do watch CZcamss on it and do other social media. But I got my first one for reading books, so maybe having my Bible on it is a more natural thing for me than if someone got it for entertainment.
Isn’t it great that there are so many ways to study the Bible? There is a way for each of us. So cool.

I yoo love this idea, but for someone who has health issues and seems to forget,what do you do yo remember why or what these sections mean.i also have adhd and just get bored easily.any ideas to stay focus and remember why I'm doing this?I'm sorry I think I'm just not stating this the right way.
Do the pens work? I never had any luck with that brand.
I love their gel highlighters but I don’t use their pens either.
I don't think those note pads are fountain pen friendly.
