Eddie Hall was breaking human limit, doctors literally told him what he is doing is not humanly possible.
Eddie's lift was as much psychological as much it was physical and therefore he needed this.
What Thor did was beyond impressive, but not even close to Eddie Hall.
When Thor did it was already established that a human can pull off 500 kilos, his lift took out the entire psychological factor, therefore leaving just the physical factor in the lift.
He was the record holder until that. But he did it in his own gym he didn't do it in an official competition meet.
