  • In this video I unbox a huge lot of 1980’s vintage sports cards! Mostly hockey cards, including plenty of great rookies of NHL hall of famers and a couple of basketball cards too! All cards in this video are available for sale. If something catches your attention please drop me comment below. I’m selling these cards for a friend of mine on consignment.

Thanks Michael! I appreciated you checking out the video! You're right, a lot of times it's hard to find good centering on early 80's OPC!

Great video. I have all these card in opc and other company’s. I started collecting in 1987 when hockey cards were cheap and no one cared about hockey cards.

Hey Bryan, thanks for checking out the video! I bought some hockey cards from the corner stores in the early 80's but 1987 was around when I got serious about collecting as well. You're right, it was about 1-2 years before the prices really shot up!

Just came across your channel. Enjoyed the video, rather informative. I’ve been looking into some of the cards you showed. I will have to watch again to see if I missed anything. I think hockey cards are a bit underrated, especially in the states.

    Don't get me wrong here,
These were my teen years and best years to collect cards but value wise unless the emotional one there is not much.
These are beyond easy to find.
Very often these as mint as you can find them sets will cost you 60-150$ a set.
In Canada and specially in Hockey town Montreal where even the birds,,were collecting back then.
    Hockey was a religion there.
Rookies like Bourque,Messier as to be at least graded 7 to be worthy.
Again its an hobby and always will be an hobby.
Last season Howe card and Dryden(Gretzky rookie year)-graded 8(maximum grade you will get for cards of that years)will sell for like 100$.
For the value unless you find gold in garage sales and markets from ignorants sellers at dirt cheap prices you will just end out paying what a card worth.
    Again fantastic years.
    But ain't the 50s-60s-early 70s.

Back in the 80s and 90s centering wasn’t REALLY a thing. You wanted sharp corners. I still prefer corners over centering but registration is #1.
