This is one of the most satisfying dye jobs I've seen in a long time. Nikola did SO good applying and the color turned out great. Naomi can honestly just pull off any hair color/look. Lol

Can we talk about how good Nik did her hair? Because that surely was a lot of work. I love the result
this has been my favourite dye brand for a couple years now. You can really tell this is a passion project for hayley as opposed to to other celebrities who dont put a lot of effort into their fashion or beauty lines.
It really seems SUPER pigmented, so I thought that was impressive. They put such a small amount of product into the conditioner and the results were almost exactly how they appeared in the mixing bowls on her white hair.
I agree I love her and when she talks about it you can see how much she cares

I’m actually impressed how pigmented the colors are. You didn’t put in much of it but it came out vibrant. Love love love it! And the white hair above it really does the job
I've used their yellow and pink and when I saw it looks like you emptied out highlighters into the mixing bowl it legit did. Also the color held up fairly well and faded evenly for the most part.
I used the neon Green and went from like solid black (natural hair) to bleached head that was kinda still orangish with 2 round of 30 volume bleach I think and straight to neon Green
THE INTENSITY OF THE COLOR WAS MWAH and lasted for a whileeee for a semi permanent it was magnificent
I know! I used semi perm dye one time in Ex-Girl and it’s still in my hair after a few months! Hailey doesn’t play around.
She didn't use it in the video but I used the purple "people eater" and it was straight up denim blue. I was very disappointed 😞 cuz I had the concept of doing purple/pink but it gave out blue and pink. They say they changed the formula since then but it still turned me off from buying more GDY products.
This brand has come so far in a year and I really applaud Hayley and her team for really taking a step back after launch and reformulating many if not all of these dyes in some way. The result to me is a product worth buying.
if it helps, good dye young wasn't necessarily made for professional use but more so for people to be able to use at home like you were saying. i haven't finished the video yet but i've heard really great things from people i knew in real life about this company, and hayley and brian (co-founders) even give out samples of their products for free at paramore concerts!! sincerely, your local paramore fan

If you do this kind of dye again in the future, overdirect the hair in a direction it doesn't usually lie for a more prismatic look!

Its giving holographic hair and I love it. I agree, colours a bit intense but are still so cute, they'll wash out nicely! ALSO THE HAIRCUT IS ALWAYS SO PRETTY, I LOVE THE STYLE ON YOU.
I work at a Sally's and we have been carrying this hair dye, but its recently all been reduced in price due to it not really selling :( I'll try and tell more ppl about how strongly pigmented it is :) Never even realized this was Hayley Williams'. LOVE the video!!!
I picked some up reduced and love them they are thick but doesn’t bother me at all bc the fade nicely.
I think it’s because when it first came it out it wasn’t getting good reviews, I absolutely love Hayley but even I had more cons than pros with her dye and they had formulation inconsistencies, however she ended up reformulating it completely and the colors are gorgeous now and I wish people would give it a chance again

I know you may not like it and thats understandable as it's a crazy combo but having the blonde over the 3 colours makes it seem like under parts of your hair are holographic and I think it looks incredibly rad with the little curls too! It's giving Lisa Frank too!

I have been using Good Dye Young since 2016 (!) and it is my absolute fav. I only use that brand for dying, bleaching and maintaining. Their dyeposit range (which is the coloured toning conditioner like product) in the copper shade is stunning!!!
They have a range called Metal Heads which do a beautiful golden yellow and a dusky pink too 10/10
I absolutely ADORE how the colored strands peek under the rest of the hair, it's gorgeous

i've only ever tried their bright yellow shade called "steal my sunshine" over ginger-leaning brown hair (with and without a tiny bit of bleach before) and it looked amazing and lasted really long too (and smells super good). but i've heard that some shades work well, while people have all kinds of problems with other shades, so it'd be cool to see what the other shades look like!

Good Dye Young is very hit or miss. I’ve had great results from some of the shades and some.. not as much. But I love Hayley and still support the queen. She’s a super sweet person irl too so we gotta support ❤️

I use the pink from this brand and it is my favourite EVER. ITS SO vibrant, I’ve had it 3 months no topups- and wash my hair daily. It is the only pink I’ve used that also doesn’t leave pink everywhere I touch my head! (If you’ve ever used colour xxl live u know lmaaooo) also I loved the bleach! I actually found the consistency quite dry compared to drugstore ones and it lifted much quicker I barely had it on 15 mins and my hair was white- also felt a lot nicer washing out than others (my hair didn’t feel frazzled ) 😂 I soooo need to do this prisma colour style in my undercut and fringe!!

i dont know if they changed the dye recipes, but please be careful using this brand, especially if you haven't been dying your hair for very long. I used one of the blue colors a few years ago and it stained everything for MONTHS. I had to scrub my shower with bleach water for 5 hours to get the stains out, it dyed my entire body blue for 2 weeks, the collar of every shirt i wore was stained blue even months after initially dyeing it and washing my hair every week, I left stains if I leaned against a wall. I had to bleach it like 4 times to get the dye out. I treated it like I had arctic fox or manic panic which I used for about 4 years before using good dye young. Just please be careful
Edit: I would like to add that I have since learned that GDY has reformulated since their inital launch, which is when I originally tried it. I have also significantly changed my hair care routine and dyes last longer now in general in my hair so I'll probably have better results next time. Lately I've been getting bored with my hair quickly so maybe it's a good think it doesn't last a million years like Splat or Iroiro which are dyes that never seem to come out lol.
I love this brand of dye so much, unfortunately some of the colors don't stay on me well and theyre oddly the ones that usually last very well on me from other brands. I should probably try them again tho, it's been a long time since I tried them when they very first came out and I have learned more about hair dyeing since (that was like the 3rd time I had ever dyed my hair since I had blesched it). I love the Ex-Girl pink dye but that's the one that doesn't stay well on me 🥲. Like I said, I should try it again tho.

I didn’t love the brand when I tried it. They have a blue pastel one and it’s bright and intense af. If I had known, I would’ve conditionered it so I was hella annoyed.

I personally love Good Dye Young! Their Blue Ruin is the one I tried way back when because I wanted like an intense smurf blue and it was AWESOME! Tbh it's semi-perm dye but on my bleach blonde hair it stayed for a really long time and even when it faded it was a beautiful like... baby-ish blue? Then I had an ombre from like the blue to more of the plat blonde I had before coloring my hair. Overall I was super pleased and that's when I used it probably like a few months after it came out. I can't imagine how the formula is now, if it's even better or not.
