Yep, Megumin is such a hypocrite, she complains on Kazuma underhanded behavior and tactics, when she's not really above it herself, and then she had to suffer from the monster of her own creation when the gang visited Arcarentia and the Axis cult.

Well, some of them. They were already intensely making outrageous promises to any passersby before Megumin showed up; they just weren't pulling the more elaborate scams yet.
So basically when Megumin returned to this city in Konosuba, she got to see what her efforts had wrought
I like to think it's that combined with terror at Kazuma finding out it's all her fault.
By the time Megumin arrives with Kazuma and co. And she saw what they turned into, you can bet Megumin had a Kazuma moment of mentally asking for forgiveness for their annoying quirks

@@emerlgizoid3245 Nope, this was the lady who tried to get Kazuma to join with the other guy. The apples scam was used by another cultist, however and the ‘it’s me’ scam was used by the pink haired twintails lady near the beginning of the episode.
So that was karma that struck her when she visited the place with the party.
And if Kazuma hears of this, he's gonna wish he pulled harder on the eyepatch back then.

I don’t remember much from the main Konosuba story, but I remember partially those dirty tactics the cult used on Kazuma and crew. Who’d’ve thunk that it was all our girl Megumin’s doing😊

They are proof that intelligence and wisdom are two very different stats. They certainly have intelligence, seeing as they're all powerful mages and that requires a high intelligence stat, but wisdom is a different stat entirely...

Oh I've been anticipating for when this series to got to this part. They're Aqua's followers, not exactly pinnacles of the community in the first place, and it was Megumin that made them a lot worse. It's all an intricate and hilarious tapestry.

Nope, that’s Cecily, a lolicon. She technically showed up in Season 2, episode 9, as the blonde nun who trolled Kazuma. She got a redesign/finalized in KonoBakuen onwards and her VA is the same in the gacha (Ai Fairouz, who voices Jolyne Cujoh from JoJo and Power from Chainsaw Man.)
