Don’t Rain On My Parade - Senior Solo 2023

Here she is, my senior solo! Truth be told, I've been planning my senior solo since freshman year. I had a lot of options (some of which I may cover in the future) but this song always stuck out to me. But, I always told myself to maybe not do this because it is such a challenge. That all changed when I met Miss Kara Leigh, our new choir teacher. She pushed me to find my voice among the various characters I've played, and after I sang this for her we knew we had to do this. So, here it is - no character voices, no accents, nothing. It's just me. I was so incredibly nervous for this, you can probably tell. Not only had people never heard my real voice, but this is one of the most stripped back performances I've given. For once I wasn't wearing a wig! I really had no clue how anyone would react. But I am happy to say, I think they liked it! Once again, thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey - Miss Kara Leigh, my parents, everyone. That's enough talking for now, anyways, here's Don't Rain On My Parade!
One more thing! I've gotten a lot of questions asking if this is the end, since I am graduating high school. Of course not! This is just the end of the chapter. Here's to opening a new one!
