On top of being born into wealth, he pretty much ran the newspaper industry so he was rolling in it. And one of the big things he spent his cashola on was his house, nay his CASTLE. Oh yeah. In today’s episode, we are talking about Hearst Castle. No surprise here, but the story behind a castle in California is juicy and I have been dying to share this one with you all. He kept her lofty and comfortable to take care of their kids, but he seen it Hearst castle to “play” with a girlfriend he had who is an actress and not only that when he died, his wife got all the money in his girlfriend was FAZED-OUT Hearsts girlfriend didn’t have a lofty life after that

My grandfather was often Mrs.Hearst driver in NY. He said she was always respectful and kind to him, making sure he was taken care of properly where ever he took her

I live so close to the castle and people have been taking trips to it and talking about it my entire life, but i still know nothing about it or the guy. Thank you Bailey for finally answering my questions and educating all of us. You do what the public school system has failed to do.

I love you but can you just do your ads and not you tubes ads as well? It makes it very hard to even get through these videos anymore. Crime daily doesn’t have youtube ads at all because the add there ads into theirs just like you but without all the you tube ones as well. You would get more views and full views if you did this because it gets ridiculous and hard to even follow the video with non stop ads it’s way to much and bailee you make more then enough $ on here you don’t have to do that . I feel that is being ridiculous and greedy to the point you lose people or they don’t even want to click to listen because of it and I’m at that point. This was a great story. I kept thinking the name Hearst sounds familiar. Patty Hearst is the grandchild who was kidnapped in 1974. Now that is a crazy story too. Thank you for your Dark History.

Can't forget that extra bit of drama when William's own granddaughter, Patty, gets kidnapped but then decides to join those that kidnapped her for their cause. One of the biggest alleged cases of Stockholm Syndrome. I was surprised about the castle that he left to California. What the heck did his children get? An episode on the Winchester manor out in California would be really cool , they’re also open for tours like the castle . One day I’d love to go out and check out the cooky architecture of the home due to its spooky history.

Hearst castle is such an awesome piece of our California history. I haven’t done all the tours yet but I swear one day I’m gonna make a run for it and jump in the Neptune pool 😂 it’s a tragedy that there’s this massive gorgeous pool that just sits there looking pretty and nobody can enjoy it 💔😭

I visited this castle as a kid. I remember the dusty-smelling furniture and the gold and azure-inlaid pool. What a crazy place.
