This is exactly what I thought, most here are complaining he's only using Floor's version, for me, Yannis studied both, because he need elements from both versions to make his own, since we have parts with Tarja's delicacy and Floor's agressivity, and he has both things with him EASILY.
He didn't transpose the vocal line down by an octave at all, so he used the same vocal register as Tarja (and the others), what makes it absolutely remarkable. He uses his falsetto register nearly the whole time. He is a well trained countertenor!
This guys' voice is just incredible, one of my favourite clean voice vocalists in metal nowadays, along with Brittney Slays, Tim Charles or Spencer Sotelo (when he isn't screaming Lol). She has been singing it that way for over 4 years now. You need to listen to her version before you say he" changed the end" That's one of the reasons the fans took to her so quick. As multiple other commenters have noted, Yannis's vocal arrangement definitely closely followed Floor's Wacken '13 version, complete with the "Floorgasm" crescendo at the end. He is one of few singers who could pull off a cover like this.

For example, for entirety of Oceanborn, clearly Tarja is miles ahead of Floor. And I would say so with most of her songs to be honest. Floor exels most consistently with Annette's songs.

I am recently (last year with Beste Zangers) new to the Nightwish Army, since than i listened to all albums and have now 3 blu-ray concerts of Nightwish and my first tee is orderes yay! Human Nature is for me the best album because of the folk/celtic influences and that Tuomas wrote some songs perfect for Floor's versatility and range very well. My favorites are, Tribal, Shoemaker and Pan.

Agreed Floor has merged old and new Nightwish styles so well, I like all 3 but she is by far my favorite vocalist with the band.

To me, there's a tempting warm darkness in Tarja's voice that created a very different vibe/atmosphere in Nightwish that's just not there anymore... Nightwish is still on top of my "all time favorite bands" but I'm not that into it anymore... Tarja's new solo album "In The Raw" on the other hand, is something out of this world good. 😍

Seems like you only like Tarja and has never seen the currently singer but really liked this guy cover which is funny because he followed Floor's Version at Wacken that is just perfection. U should give it a try. He did Floor Jansen justice (:

Floor Jansen is what brought this sound to this song. This guy definitely covered Floor's version. The ending gave it away. For the record... Floor is 1000x greater than Tarja, and Tarja was still awesome.

@@Mad9977 i like Tarja too but Floor is by far my #1 female vocalist. I am recently (last year with Beste Zangers) new to the Nightwish Army, since than i listened to all albums and have now 3 blu-ray concerts of Nightwish and my first tee is orderes yay! Human Nature is for me the best album because of the folk/celtic influences and that Tuomas wrote some songs perfect for Floor's versatility and range very well. My favorites are, Tribal, Shoemaker and Pan.
