20数年前の話。当時ケニアのナイロビに住んでいた私がある日曜日の朝にテレビをつけると、この映画が放映されていた。先ずケニアで日本の映画が放映されることはあり得ないので、夢か幻かと思ううちに映画の内容もまた夢か幻のようで、画面に釘付けになったまま時間が過ぎていった。あとで黒澤明監督の追悼番組だとわかったのだが、あのときの衝撃は今もって忘れられない。
ケニアとは遠い場所に随分と行っておられたんですね。
この映画は黒澤明の遺言のような作品だと思うので、追悼番組には相応しいと思います。
こういう話、昭和の時代には、全国各地で聞かれました。合掌

believe it or not, few months ago, i experience a similar thing, i was doing a reenactment act with some of my buddies on an old Japanese bunker, there, since the bunker had branches and very long and dark, i got lost, and when i try to find my way out, i got lost, but then, i was called by another man wearing Japanese uniform, i thought he was another reenactor, but his uniform are all not the ones we were wearing (we were wearing the green version of the uniform and wearing the field cap, but this man wore the khaki ones and had his helmet on) and he asked my rank and unit, i simply said that i'm an officer and he then salutes me, i then asked him if he knows the way out, he said yes and showed it, and while we walk, he asked me when he will be sent home, so he can reunited with his mother and girlfriend, i lied that in 2 week he will, and when i reach the exit, he vanished, i ask my reenacting buddies if anyone saw that one guy, none say it, i then had shivers, thinking i just saw a ghost, but it also made my heart burst into tears, even as a ghost, he still loyal to his duty and not leaving the world. the ghost did tell me his name, and the girlfriend's name so now, i'm on a mission to find if his girlfriend is still alive, or at least her descendant, or better yet, if he had siblings, i could reached them and tell them what happened to their lost brother and boyfriend
thats an impresive story, hope you can update it, in case you find his relatives.

「上級国民は好き勝手振る舞える」けども、現場指揮官は顔見知りで自分を慕い、同じ釜の飯を食う仲間でありながら死に追いやらなければならないと言う・・・

@@samspencer582 The original film only has one little fragment of military music when the whole regiment goes back into the tunnel. I made the music as a project for my composition studies.

異国の地で亡くなった兵士の亡霊が隊列を組み、隊長の前に姿を現すこのエピソードは、黒澤明監督が過去に映画仲間だった者たちへのメッセージと解釈する。(黒澤監督の全盛期にプロデューサーだった本木荘二郎氏、名シナリオライター菊島隆三氏、作曲家の早坂文雄氏と言った名作に深く関わったスタッフ)
現に黒澤明監督は、戦時中戦地に赴くことはなく、終戦前にデビューし、姿三四郎を発表、終戦前後には続•姿三四郎、虎の尾を踏む男と言った作品を撮られていた。
戦地での実体験がないと思われる撮影当時齢80才の老監督の中に澱む自責の念や懺悔の念を亡霊の兵士の姿に託し、上官が泣く泣く説得するシーンは奥の深い場面に見える。

Your music is interesting but intrusive. I greatly prefer the epic silence and nautual sounds of the soldiers and the dog.

If it was mixed a bit quieter it may have done better. The music fits very well actually, the production matches the era of film bear perfectly. Good selection of synths and the composition was well done
@@squeebbb Yeah, mixing is one of the most difficult parts, it sounds very differently depending on the audio device I am using. Sometimes it's too loud, sometimes too soft

大昔の黒澤明って「物語」を作っていたと思うのですね。
映画の物語。だから「コンテ」も、もちろん「脚本」も編集「モンタージュ」も素晴らしかった。
でも後期、晩年のなのかな、黒澤明は「物語」というより「絵」「絵画」を作ろうとしていたような気がするのです。
で、私は「絵画」より「物語」の方が好きなのです。
だって「映画」なのですから。
言葉では表現出来ないものを描こうとしていたのだと思います。

Si te fijas el perro lleva unas cargas consigo, posiblemente explosivos. Así que en el plano literal seguramente sea un perro militar y uno más de los compañeros de guerra que el comandante perdió a sus órdenes. Sin embargo, en el plano simbólico, me gusta pensar en ese perro tan hostil como metáfora de unos remordimientos que nunca paran de "morder" y que se extienden más allá de los sueños/pesadillas del protagonista (el perro muerde antes de entrar en el túnel y después de salir del túnel).

最後に出てきた犬は軍用犬で、大戦末期には手榴弾を背負って敵に特攻させていたのですよ。背中に無数の手榴弾があるのを観るとおそらく先の軍人さん達同様言葉には出さない恨みの象徴にみえる、、、
でも、一番感じるのはこの夢を見た人自身がみんなに怨まれていると重い自責を感じてしまってるのが悲しい
そうですね。だから吠えたのですね。奥が深い。まわれ向けが悪いのどうのと言う人がいますが、ケチをつけるより物語の心情をくみ取ってほしいと思います。黒沢さんを超える監督は世界中に存在しない。

It was a project for my musical composition studies. You can always enjoy the original movie elsewhere, so I hope I didn't ruin much :)
I don't think this movie would fit your attempt because it had good sound effects, like footsteps echoing in the tunnel.
But your attempt itself is interesting.

what does the dog represent? Warmongering demagogues?
To me it's more representing the feelings of the main character. Perhaps a metaphor of all the guilt and remorses persistent in the subconscious (always surrounding your dreams/nightmares)
Maybe it's a military dog, one of the companions he lost in the war, and the spirit guard dog of many of his comrades who died as well.
@@sushiromifune7096 yeah, was giving that for granted. Don't know a lot about it, but the dog seems to have some kind of explosives attached
