Now we need to get rid of those lazy firefighters; did you know they are in a Union? Remember, our heroic Confederate Generals fought against the Union.

I hate it! I think we need to remember the numbers. It's deeply important that the majority did not vote for this. Almost 63 million did. Almost 67 voted for Clinton. Almost 109 didn't bother to vote. Most republican voters I know that I didn't cut off on moral grounds in 2016 realized their mistake pretty quickly & he's lost a lot of support. The redhats are a problem. Yes. But I couldn't live with the knowledge that they are "most" of us. They are the minority. The bigger problem is the apathy of the majority.

They couldn't get 50% of the senate to agree to impeach him, what makes you think they'll get 66% to support the 25th? Actually, it's more complicated, and worse, than that.
It starts with Pence, and a majority of the principal officers of executive departments, delivering a written letter to Congress saying that Trump is a fucktard. Might happen, probably not - some of those principals will be scared of the consequences. Pence takes over upon delivery of the letter.
However, Trump can immediately tell Congress that he isn't a fucktard (which I guarantee you would happen) and immediately becomes President again.
Pence has four days, if the majority of principal officers still have the balls, to tell Congress that Trump is still a fucktard. If that happens, Congress gets to decide. But it takes a 2/3 vote of both houses to kick Trump out. Think that will happen?
Of course, when Trump gets power back after telling Congress he's not a fucktard, the first thing he'll do is sack all the principals. So Pence will never get the chance to go back to Congress and Congress will never get to decide the matter.
Stick with impeachment. It has a better chance of succeeding.

About the "flare ups" in Europe:
Austria hast currently about 1600 active case with less than new 100 cases per day. We have a total of 21 000 cases. (And the tendency is stable) We have been testing about 8 000 people a day. With waiting times being the longest in Vienna of about 4 days.
The US has about 40 times the population of Austria, so the would mean that the US would have about 64 000 active cases, 4 000 new cases per day, 800 000 cases in total and 320 000 test a day. The US does about 2x the amount of test per person Austria does. BUT you have about 15x the daily number of cases and nearly 5x the total cases (both per person). (Active case numbers where not available for the US)
We had a really strict lock down for about 6 weeks in March and have been slowly getting back to normal. Most companies still do home office, but store, restaurants, bar, public swimming pools and museums are open (all with some restrictions). Our economy has taken a hit of about 13% compared to 33% for the US.

I am an American living in France right now. We went into a VERY strict lockdown one week after our 'spring break'. This included everything except essential services (grocery stores, hospitals, and pharmacies) being closed. This included a form that we were required to fill out every time we left our homes explaining why we were leaving (that needed to be dated, signed, and time-stamped with our names and address). We were limited to OND hour a day outside and limited to a 1k radius of our homes for things like small walks and outdoor individual sports... and grocery shopping. Fines were in fact imposed and police would check those forms. This lasted for a solid 2 months... it was intense, but it was effective. After deconfinement, things opened up in waves, and as of two weeks ago when case numbers began to rise in France once more, strict mask mandates (that has already been heavily emphasized) were being required in all indoor facilities and public transportation with a punishement of fines. You know what I am not seeing in France.... I am not seeing protests against wearing masks... (and protesting in France is like a National Sport). DO people complain... sure, do some people not comply... of course... but I'd say 95 percent of people do comply. The French people have no qualms with refusing entry to people for no masks, something I have seen time and time again. Then I look at the news in the USA and I am horrified, as is the rest of France.

@@timothyball3144 I am not sure about that, I have personally not seen that being an issue in France or heard it being a complaint amongst the French who are notorious for complaining.
I would assume If people do have breathing issues they tend to stay home as food delivery services are pretty easy to come by or they just wear the mask when they need to go someplace. At most, masks are considered uncomfortable in triple-digit heat, but necessary and generally accepted as such by the public at large. In fact, masks were provided to everyone in France by the local governors right after our deconfinement. The postal service delivered washable masks to every household over a two to three weeks span and they are overall worn by everyone, even at times people doing outdoor sports such as biking, running, etc.
France has a Very different mindset than the USA on this entire virus and the mask. They value human life moreso over the economy and they have a We mentality vs the I mentality of the USA. We wear mask to protect those around us, that is that, plus that is what scientists say helps... so we listen.

@@lauralmiller8852 Here, all someone has to do to not wear a mask is say, "I have a medical condition and can't wear a mask". And the business can't ask them about because if our HIPPA laws. Some businesses even go so far as to put up a sign saying that they can't ask, along with a sign that says masks must be worn unless you have a medical condition. So it's a nudge, nudge, wink, wink hint on how to not wear a mask.
You are exactly right that too many of us in the US have that I, I, I mentality rather than WE. It's why we have so many - too many - deaths.

@@timothyball3144 I have seen that going around, although they legally can't use HIPPA to get around wearing a mask as HIPPA only applies ‘covered entities,’ that being health plans, health care clearinghouses and health care providers that conduct transactions electronically, per the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. SO anyone who tries to use HIPPA is an idiot and doesn't understand what it even is.
Wearing a mask should be a policy like no shoes, no shirt, no service.
People are using the ADA (American's with Disabilities Act) moreso to get out of wearing masks in the States, and that can be used to a degree as an exemption from face masks in the USA but the stores are required to make 'reasonable modifications' to accommodate this group... such as online services, curbside pick up, or delivery... etc... All I tend to see is a bunch of spoiled white people throwing temper tantrums for having to wear a mask to protect others... all the while I get regular updates from my friend who is a Nurse at a hospital in DC and I am just flabbergasted... are mask comfortable... not really... but do they help. Hell YES... wear a darn mask... good gracious.

Sadly, what they did in relation to the plans is exactly what I had guessed months ago. I hoped I was wrong. My logic was that no one could truly be *that* incompetent, it had to be intentional and he could blame the governors and/or democrats (not that they are entirely blame free but the admin set them up to fail). I really hate being right about the depths of depravity and cruelty they are capable of. It makes me feel sick that people like this exist, let alone are in control of our country.

Maybe try memorizing the key points and effective arguments from some of his vids, and be ready for when they start talking. Keep it humble and curious-sounding, not argumentative. Lead them by asking questions about their stance, that (hopefully) will naturally lead them to saying things in a way that make them go, “Ohhhhhh.” Sometimes you’ll see this lightbulb go on. Above all, don’t allow them to put words in your mouth - call them on it, clarify what you’re asking, and be chill.
