@@1Deep43VA Many reasons, actually. Mainly, he wanted to get the popularity (for Rainbow) in the United States that he was receiving in many other countries (most notably Japan and Europe), also, he really loved Foreigner's sound and wanted to incorporate that into Rainbow. And finally, because Ritchie needs change (musically and musicians) or he gets really bored. If you go as far back to his Deep Purple days no two albums ever sounded the same.
Don't really like this Rainbow reincarnation, but it definitely had it's moments one should admit. That's one of them for sure.. I for one, don't mind the faster tempo here, I think they did well considering. It doesn't sound butchered at all, Ritchie's solos are the first to suffer when the tempo picks up WAY too much, listen to Death Alley Driver from this concert for example, or many songs from Deep Purple 84-88 era when they were played live much too fast. Here the solo is stellar, and overall it doesn't hurt the atmosphere I think..
This is just a bit too fast. The adrenalin of live performance needs to be curbed, so that this kind of acceleration doesn't happen. This is screaming rock and roll, it doesn't need to be rushed. Compare it to the "factory" official video to see what I mean.
If Richie wanted a pop band like this, he should have put a mic in front of both himself and the bassist to help sing harmonies. The vocalist in this version of rainbow is outstanding but essentially left to hang by himself.
Music is about what it is the listener likes but Joe Lynn Turner definitely had to get the words and emotion out way quicker; for me it was better than nothing. :D
The Singer is Joe Lynn Turner one of the best voices among rock and roll singers.
Marisa Florenzano not too many out there would appreciate you knowing that but wow.... yes!
hell yes
Exacto, en su género, posee una buena técnica de voz melodica

Loved JLT then, love him still! Excellent singer.
やはりこの男性はこのような曲が似合う。私が大好きなボーカリスト。
this song reminds me of crusing in myrtle beach s.c. after graduating high school in 1984....thanks for the flashback!!! ....of my street of dreams

Голос плачевныи не оставляет никого равнодушным до слез выворачивает душу воспоминания о молодых годах божественно звезда вне времени
Высочайший уровень игры даже на сегодняшний день,я в восторге!
Stadium rock at it's best. Anything Blackmore is a part of is solid as he is.
Joe Lynn Turner is a natural....just a totally perfect rock and roll voice.
Man--Joe Lynn had such a wonderful voice.
Hell yeah , 80s , were living in the 80s .
As stated by Ritchie Blackmore, one of his favourite songs because it had that pop feel....
I don’t know why he was so infatuated with making more Pop oriented music. He has such great albums under his belt.

Uwielbiam RAINBOW :)! Bardzo niedoceniany zespół. Blackmoore to geniusz!
Lo más grande Richie .Ya lo van a extrañar....
Rainbow had so many different front men over the years, Joe Lynn Turner was my favorite.
Too beautiful a song to be played on that tempo. What were they thinking?
A bit faster, I hear you
🌈 line up: Ritchie Blackmore - Joe lynn turner - Roger Glover - Chuck Burgi And David Rosenthal 👏👏👏

Que canción tan hermosa, me encanta!
Una obra de arte
Joe Lynn turner rocks, such a voice
In his day he was one of the best. Always loved his tone and guy had a great range.
The best singer of rainbow & deep purple
It was published, but maybe as non-official video. If you would looking for this concert, you will find it. ;-)
GREAT live version!! I'm just wondering why they all hurry live... - IMO some songs are loosing their atmosphere when they speed'em up.
maybe the drummer rushes
Золотые времена✌👍👏☀☀☀⚡🤟🤟🤟🎆Taims golds
Rainbow rocks. Kickass song!!

Классная песня!Очень красиво!Это "Рейнбоу",друзья!!!!
Fantastico pezzo !!!
💖💖💖💖💖💖
My 1st live music, Ezra at a Holy Trinity dance in Hackensack 1972. Fronted by Joe Lynn Turner.
TEMA SOBREHUMANO RAINBOW JOE LYNN TURNER INMORTALES..
Too beautiful a song to be played at such fast tempo as it is played here. Seems rushed. But Still great vocals by Joe.
Is it Riche Blackmore's or Eric Medina's Rainbow? So shut up & listen.
Joe Lynn Turner is just ace!
Epic Anthem
I love when Joe Lynn puts his finger to his ear...shades of Ian Gillan..when Blackmore turned his amps towards Gillan, just out of spite.
Muy buena canción ❤
Nice!
outstanding !!! :>
Being played too fast.
Played by the professionals and commented by the assholes
Nice song...
Played too fast but who cares when JLT is singing with his talent and good looks!
La calle de las oesadillas y el arcoiris
aunque sea un poco cursi, me encanta esta canción
Joe Lynn Turner

I believe in click tracks or some metronome to provide the same tempo. When you play live you get excited and speed up. Doing do can Ruin a song!
Me encanta
cool and fast.
Talk about a hyper speed tempo!
Ritchie Guitar God Blackmore.
Joe Lynn Turner is like a heavier Rock version of Steve Perry.
Wow
❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Joe Lynn tuner is so fine he is easy on the eyes❤
could ya speed it up a little ?

Ritchie is just to special to get behind a mic.
Those bloody bass pedals Blackmore was using at the time. What was he thinking?
Polka Time. joeyyyyyy can sing anything
After the singularity I will replay this tour as, The, Roger Glover. And play the loop until the heat death of the universe.
Magnifico
Ritchie and Joe wearing the same wig😂
bent out of a shape is incredible/////////////
Вокал точно соответствует гитаре Блекмора!
ritchie messed up the tempo :))
He sings with no feeling at all ! Just get it done, like he is reading from a book !
3:41 Ritchie Blackmore JAJAJAJAJ
The best rainbow song!
Great Song... tempo was way fast!! :(
I think the faster tempo gives it punch. No?
Music is about what it is the listener likes but Joe Lynn Turner definitely had to get the words and emotion out way quicker; for me it was better than nothing. :D
YOU'RE RIGHT DOUGLAS...TOO FAST. IT DETRACTS FROM THE SONG...BUT, STILL GREAT. SUCH A BALANCED SONG AND OH, WHAT A SINGER!
aikansa ikoni, hienoa musiikkia
DIO?! man it was originally released with joe lynn turner on vocals
Joey Lynn
