I am returning to sewing after many years of ignoring the skill. My first machine was a Husqvarna about 40 years ago. I recently bought a cheap machine and I didn't realise how nasty it would be. I am looking at getting the Singer HD6805C for general sewing and a bit of crafting but probably not quilting. Do you have any comments/suggestions? Thanks

Hi Robyn, Singer HD6805C is probably the step up from mine, but for what you are wanting to use it for should be fine. It has the verity of stiches and the ability to do thicker projects for crafts. So Happy Sewing. Enjoy what ever machine ends up on your table.

I have the same machine and for some reason, the M's and N's look really bad using this font. (on M4) When I use the letters on M3, sometimes the spacing inconsistent. Maybe I need to put more pressure on the foot from the adjustment?

I have an HD 6800C, how can I make the alphabet bigger? As an example 2 or 3 inches. I can’t find any answers. Thank you!

No unfortunately I have not found a way to increase the letter size. Funny thing on Singer website it says you can, I have tried everything I can think of and it just beeps at me. Thank you for your comment

Have you tried hitting the elongate button and then selecting the letters or does that just make it beep? I haven’t tired it yet. I might in a few minutes

you didnt explain enough... I never done this and your not telling me anything about the letters , the buttons to push , do you leave the card in the machine with the letters on it or do you have to leave out, any type of thread that can be used and the type of material, does it work on T shirts?

You didn't show anything you did, I have no idea what buttons you pressed, where they are located, where is underline? don't know where you went to to dial in the content, etc. Could never do this without other video or reading instruction book. This is not a teaching demo, just a demo that it can be done. Just thinking of buying this machine so have no idea of setup, guess have to check your other videos.
