  • We want to make sure that our public lands continue to offer you a great experience.
With rising costs and increased visitation, we’re looking for ways to improve the recreational opportunities on public lands. We want to make the sites you know and love even better as well as to develop new recreation sites.
One way we can do that is through fees.
The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public input on five draft recreation business plans that would modernize the way recreation fee sites are managed for the following locations: Kingman Field Office, Lake Havasu Field Office, the Arizona Strip Field Office’s Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area, the Phoenix District’s Recreational Shooting Sites, and the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument’s Paria Canyon/Coyote Buttes Special Management Area and White Pocket.
To review the business plans, visit: www.blm.gov/programs/recreati...
At this link, you also will find an interactive tool to help you learn more about each fee proposal and when comments are due. There is information about which recreation sites are included in the plans, which sites are proposed or existing with fee changes, as well as operation and maintenance costs and planned expenses.

I can't argue against a modest fee increase for places like White Pocket, etc. that are in danger of getting trampled by the hordes.

I wish BLM would get money from the government as well.
