- We’ve known VISHTÈN since we were kids… Not only were the hangs on PEI special, but the six of us were proud to carry our Prince Edward Island roots across the globe, meeting up at some of the world’s best folk festivals 🙏🏼
In April, Emmanuelle lost her twin sister and Pascal, his parter 💔 Pastelle was honestly one of our favourite musicians (and people) of all time, and VISHTÈN one of the bands we were grateful to have such a special connection with.
To sit down for the first time this spring with only the four of us was a very surreal experience to say the least, but we knew having a few tunes together would play a big part in our healing.
We wanted to share some of the joy we’ve been getting out of these jams 😊 “Miraculous Meals”! A wee blend of “Meals By Maurice” and “Le Miracule” (tunes by Koad, Jake, Pastelle, and Tim’s dad, Kevin Chaisson, all in there).
We chose Pastelle and Pascal’s living room for a few reasons… It’s the exact room we recorded our first EP in, and Koad also lived upstairs (our 2017 CZcams vid of “Meals By Maurice” was shot there). A special house with a lot of good memories.

Damn I wish there was a full album on spotify of these two groups playing together.
I first heard Vishten in Montana and loved them. What a treat to hear them playing with the East Pointers. Awesome talent and energy.
My two long-time favourite groups. I've known Vishten for more than 20 years and the East Pointers since they were formed (my first experience with Koady and Tim. I saw Jake a number of times with Liz Carroll) It's been a sad year, but the love and warmth of Pastelle and Koady come through. Everyone watching this should come to the Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival in PEI -- third weekend of July. Every year.

6 Hearts will be playing at the New Orleans Jazzfest on Thursday, May 4 at 12:35 - 1:35 at the Cultural Exchange Pavillion and then again on the Fai-Do-Do Stage at 4:15 to 5:35 pm. I saw the East Pointers back the last time they were at Jazzfest and they blew me away. This will be just as good if not way better. If you're at the Fairgrounds on May 4, DON"T MISS THESE FOLKS!!
Saw them twice at the New Orleans Jazzfest. I was able to introduce my 2.5 year old grandson to their wonderful music. They closed both of their sets with this song and each set was welcomed and throughly enjoyed by the crowds.
