    Sounds like this dude is actually playing this... I've been practicing this song for 4 years and I haven't even gotten that close, to sounding like that .
    Ugh, Tough Song to learn.
    it must be a secret that I'm overlooking?

      Well it could be your amplifier different amps have different effects as you well know or should at this point speed and accuracy is another thing at the very least try to get accurate then speed up another difficult thing about this song is how precise you gotta be in everything but even brendon small started playing guitar at 14 so it'll take time and practice but you can do it!

    And all of this on a freaking Fender, no less. I love when people do this on equipment "not meant" to play it.

    The 3 string sweep taps never sounded right to me. I know they're 16th note triplets, I know the arpeggios are correct, but the pattern seemed just almost there. I THINK that rather than going straight up and down, it's something like: tap, pull off to index finger, hammer on with your pinky/ring finger, then back down and up the arpeggio.
    So 17(tap), 8, 12, 8 on the first string; 10 on the second; 9 on the third; 10 on the second again; 8, 12...That entire pattern twice, then that shorter end portion is (possibly)
    17(tap), 12, 8 on the first string; 10 on the second; 8, 12 on the first string
    24 notes in total, which fits perfectly with 16th note triplets.
    Also, on the G major arpeggio, it sounds to me like the tapped note is changing. Like, the arpeggios are A minor, C major (tapping the 6th so...C major 6? A minor 7? whatever lol), then G major for 2 bars giving us 6 tapped notes. So on the A minor and C major arpeggios, I'm tapping 17th fret; however on the G major arpeggios, I'm tapping frets 22 (D), 19 (B), 15 (G), 15 (G), 19 (B), 15 (G).
    This isn't meant to criticize, just not sure if I'm alone in thinking this stuff and wanted to throw it out there for anyone still trying to learn this beast of a solo lol. Thanks for putting up this video, that tone is so juicy!

    Dude how do i mute the strings on the tapping section it's driving me nuts

    • @MAzK001
      @MAzK001 Před rokem

      For that section, it is most likely muting using the fretting hand. Think about how you mute when you do palm mutes and adjust accordingly.
