Thing i dont like about this is that the biggest turning point for DOJO in 2023 LAN was switching to land thermal and contest Alliance. That was a huge moment for them and it turned the entire series for them. So now we wont see situations like that....i think thats what makes watching apex so entertaining in my opinion.

They just need to figure out a better way for teams in international events to get POIs NA has a significant advantage due to international scrims being on NA servers.

Random spawn into a location makes more sense lore/game wise but the BR goblins won't like not having a choice

Yup and It really sucks, I fell in love with Straight Shot because it got rid of the drop ship and everything felt more balanced, not having to follow a jump master wanting to hot drop just to die five seconds in while you struggle to find a gun because everything got looted whilst getting shot by six different squads was great.
i mean you can insult em but literally no one likes RNG which is why they'll """consider""" having pre-set rings (should never be in the game or else console has no purpose)

A game called spellbreak if u know it has this already. You can choose the poi you want to drop at and there are markers on the map of where all the other teams are landing
Fix fit steps, the audio for foot steps is like none existent now it works when it wants lol

The games been out this long and they never cared. Footsteps can either sound next to you and they're 100m away or you don't hear shit and they're 10 m of you 😂
Yes please Respawn hasnt fixed the non existent audio for years...
How it was explained to me is that the audio is based on their current engine which is old asf and it’s not about to change anytime soon.

Some POI:s will have two landing spots. Remember, it's only 20 teams in the lobby, with 29 locations, so you can then "contest" if you land in the same POI.

Random spawn has been my favorite way to get into brs since h1z1. All my buddies wish this were a thing, itd make at least pubs more playable, and ranked a little more entertaining with a fresh drop each match

Ive said this since first year Skull Town issue, they gotta fix the drop ship, now they simply removed it hahahaha.... just force spread people with multiple ship crossing in the middle.. so simple........... i cant understand how it hasnt been fixed in what 4-5 years?
Quick rant, everyone knows the rules.
The only reason I don't like this is because some spawns are bound to have shit loot. Those locations exist as a last resort or for extra loot while rotating, not to grief your game right off spawn... and in this case, before the game even starts (because they do a draft to select spawn points)
If they buff the smaller locations I'm all for trying it out, but based on every BR game I've played that's just not something that can be implemented well.
Give higher tier loot to the smaller locations, but then they get better loot faster, and they're usually right outside the bigger POIs so they can insta-push with a strong advantage.
Give the smaller locations more loot of the same tier, then they're still looting faster, letting them be more prepared for an engagement (still an advantage to push the larger POI)
Give the larger POI some kind of defensive/anti-push features, but then we're right back to the smaller POI being at a disadvantage unless they go push another small location or wait for the team at the larger POI to leave... but then they have loot advantage.
It's a back-and-forth of balancing that never balances out.
That's why we should let the players decide their fate - take the smaller location so you don't have to chance being first in the lobby to die, or chance it at a larger POI for better loot.
Regardless of how the draft seeding works, someone is going to get absolutely bent-over.
Sure, you can take those camp-placement-to-masters players and force them to fight off-spawn and vice versa, causing everyone's skillset to balance out, but that's kinda like saying fuck individuality and set strategy (aka game plan [aka a big part of a coach's job]).
Seems REALLY good for international scrims, where the teams with ping disadvantage have to give up their normal POIs. No way there's 29 spots though lol

Just regulate the scrim servers (play on each region's servers an equal amount of time) and this complete overhaul becomes redundant.

I think they are trying to have something to help ALGS but there isn’t enough plis to land at. But before the try to fix the pro league first why don’t they fix the game itself there’s still lots of bugs and yet it feels like they aren’t putting enough resources into fixing it but adding more things and problems into the game. But I feel like this drop this is also dumb because it’s a battle royal you don’t pick your spot to land and get it. You fight for it, it’s suppose to be in my opinion who is better so fighting right off drop is part of this game, same for the dive trails most of us are still upset about it I hate buying heirlooms just to get a dive trail I earned
Don't remove thw drop ship, that's literally the excitement of the game, the ship is RNG in a BR, just like the loot in Apex. It's a BR. Gonna be so boring watching people rush to a RNG ring.
The excitement of the game is battling, not looting RNG. It’s not a casino dude. Go open loot boxes for you dopamine rush.

This is for ALGS only, it's due to the unfortunate situation where a path the ship takes is shitty and people who use the POI that's too far have to run into it. It's to avoid situations like that. This is not for pubs, or ranked, ALGS only.
@DevinHeida it's bc they want control of every aspect of the game. This really wouldn't be an issue if Apac teams and EU teams were better, but they aren't. They lose a vast majority of contests, all Respawn wants to do is give weaker teams a better advantage, they even said it themselves. How is that balance? That's fixed.

The game in general should lock some players in the drop shot until it decides to allow them to choose if they want to drop reducing the amount of players going to just one POI

EA needs to add slow down to the game for mnk like fortnite and a couple others have slow down. Instead of aim assist where is drags towards your enemy slowdown is set to just slow your sens when your looking at someone within a certain hit box it would help with the imbalance i make a mistake im dead controller makes a mistake AA fixes
