Honestly I had no idea that some people made their shwarma with Fries. Where I'm from, it is made with mostly spicy chicken and some vegetables like onions but there are less vegetables when compared to other countries
Maybe it's because Shelby's in Canada... I remembered from their channel, they had something called shawarma poutine(?)

Recently tried out both. Shelby's bread was amazing and beats out Tahini's, but both places had great chicken and veggies. I recommend the Jerk Chicken Shawarma at Tahini's, the sauce was great. Shelby's gets a 9/10, and Tahini's gets an 8.7/10. Wish they had locations in Mississauga, theres too many shitty shawarma spots here right now, and too many disappointing meals almost killed my appetite for shawarma in general. Its great seeing these new guys set a new standard for quality.
In my country there is no tahini’s or Shelby’s, there is only baba rafi’s shawarma place 😭 I mean they taste good but I wanna taste or try tahinis or shelbys 😖😖
In SA we don’t have either, the best place we got is called uncle faouzi, but they got great sauces and great flavor
In the United States There is none just my local shawarma chain

As a fellow down-underer, shawarma is rare here unless you live in Sydney. Turkish Kebab is EVERYWHERE though, and they all use the same supplier so it all tastes the same.

Thanks for your video.. Every day, I learn about new shawarma places. So far, Yassen and Aljazeera are at my top list, but i'm still interested in trying other spots. I never considered Lazeez and Osmou's as an authentic shawarma spots. it's a Frenchise business chains mainly target customers with minimum experience of middle eastern food. And that's not any different than staff working behind the counter. Mostly international students and sometimes vegetarians too. That could be ok but not for me when it comes to find well balanced tasty shawarma wrap 😊 i will try to get to those couple of stores you mentioned.. thanks

In Turkey chicken and meat wraps like these are served mostly with seasoned onions, tomatoes, parsley and sumac. We call it Tablacı salad and it’s wonderful with wraps like these.
One thing I like about Tahini's is they got some unique shawarmas you can't find anywhere else and that's a butter chicken, baconiser and Jamaican jerk shawarmas

The meat variant of shawarma should be with tahini and onions with parsley.
@@awsan111it also depends which country you’re having it from. Lebanese differs from Syrian which differs from Egyptian which differs from Turkish. Each country has their own variation which uses different ingredients.

I'm from middle east I just traveled to Canada for me tahinis is a bit better cuz the thin chicken is better than big chunk it doesn't overpower ur shawarma and there pickles are so good the wrap is tight and good same for Shelly's but there pickles are alot salty wich may overpower the shawarma the friez are fresh but the taste of it i feel it more in my mouth and for the spice levels tahinis hot sauce is really good and spicy doesn't overpower the shawarma and gives really good taste for Shellby the hot suace is good but I think tahinis like a bit better they're both really good restraunts to eat from tahinis has more shawarmas and food like Jamaican jerk shawarma or Habibi bowel they create food Shellbys has food but not that much well I like Shellbys and tahinis both are rlly good restaurants and I think they will improve more.

The most delicious, authentic chicken Shawarma that I have ever had was at Noor's Shawarma and Variety, London, Ontario. The ingredients were fresh, and the Fatoush salad was delicious. Long live Middle Eastern foods!

So I finally found the right shelbys in canada, and I can 100% confirm that shelby's has the best tasting shawarma in the west. They were not exaggerating that its za best in za west

I'd eat at shelby's simply because of the name but the shawarma looks grilled to perfection, and secondly I've seen a couple of videos and the owner looks like chill guy who really likes feeding people his food rather than tahini's where even if the CEO is a chill guy, i have no clue what he looks like.

I've tried both, I can confirm that Shelby's is better. Tahini's is better for someone that likes a soft juicy wrap, while Shelby's gets the delicious charred bread and authentic shawarma flavour.
