Easiest way is probably going unit by unit! Most people go in debut order: NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, NCT Dojaejung, NCT Wish but you could also just do NCT U last after seeing everything else because every member is in it and each song has a different line up. I also recommend The Ultimate Guide to NCT 2024, its very up to date and only missing the newest subunit and explains the system very comprehensively

Dem Jointz was the primary producer of Cherry Bomb. Dem Jointz - Dwayne Allen Abernathy Jr - Compton CA. He is a producer, songwriter and a singer. He has produced songs/albums for SM artists EXO, Shinee, NCT as a whole and three sub-units (NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream). He also produced RUN BTS for BTS. He is a well known, and respected music producer in the US music industry. He has produced for Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Anderson Paak, Kendrick Lamar and more. Dem Jointz can be recognized by his "Incoming!" and "Dem Jointz" producer tags in the beginning of the songs he has produced, and also "and now the breakdown" at the breakdown of a song. I recommend looking up his discography.

@@Strokiemane When forming SM Entertaiment in 1995 Lee Sooman, wanted to bring Black R&B to Korea. He also wanted to form a Korean version of the Motown training system created by Berry Gordy. Sooman has been very successful in implementing his version of the training system, and establishing the blueprint for other Kpop agencies and their training systems. Sooman early on was able to contact Teddy Riley creator of the New Jack Sound, to produce music for SM artists. Teddy was one of the first of the American R&B kings to make the trip to South Korea, flying out in 2009 and establishing a sideline as a New Jack Swing savant for Girls Generation and Jay Park. Another early K-pop convert was Harvey Mason Jr., who once penned hits for Mario, Toni Braxton and Justin Timberlake; more recently, he’s written for BoA, SHINee, TVXQ and EXO, among others. 19:04 - yes!! dojaejung is composed of 3 members from 127 being them:
doyoung - 16:26 / jaehyun - 16:23/16:32 deep voice lol AND jungwoo but he isn't here, he joined nct 127 in 2018/october with their title "regular" but he also debuted first in nct u with the song "boss" in 2018/february
It's a little confusing at first bcs you're gonna see members in other units like 2 of the 127 members are also in nct dream BUT it's really worth trying to get to know the diversity of the songs and the boys themselves ^^
(+ if you are going to do all the title tracks of one subunit at a time, it might be easier!
and since you asked about the order: a tip is you go in the order in which the units debut, which it would be 127 > dream > wayv > wish. And then at the end you go to nct u which is basically a mix of members from all of the units!)

Congrats on doing a dive of imo the best all-around group in Kpop. Certainly one of the most influential.
Yes, the outfits and hairstyles for these music videos are attention-getting, to say the least. I think that was the idea, for better or worse.
The important thing is that these guys are some of the best vocalists and rappers in the business: I always find it amusing that people new to NCT can often recognize Mark. Plus, Jaehyun and Doyoung are first two you see on the “Cherry Bomb” bridge. They, along with Jungwoo (who joined in late 2018), are DoJaeJung.
Have fun delving into this group (and yes, the outfits get a little less crazy as time goes on. A little. 😂)

Thank you for reacting to NCT127 and I look forward to joining you on your journey of discovering all of NCT’s amazing discography and content! 💚
NCT really do have a unique and distinct style and concept that you can easily identify, as you said. This goes hand in hand with their very questionable and odd outfits/stylings in their music videos, especially in the past. Their company (SM) was trying to differentiate the group from others in the industry, but many fans can agree that it did not look good (I honestly cringe looking back at their outfits and hair from Fire Truck and Limitless eras even though the songs are absolute bangers) 😂
Cherry Bomb is definitely one of the most iconic NCT songs and the mv was seriously deprived of the choreo! It is an infamous choreo that had many people covering it ever since it came out!
Forewarning: you will see the number of members fluctuate in the videos from different years! Not sure if you noticed, but there were originally 7 members in the Fire Truck mv for their debut. With their next release, Limitless, they added 2 more members to the group making it 9 members. In 2018, they added 1 more member to the group making it 10 members for 2 comebacks (Regular and Simon Says). After this, though, one of the original members was moved by SM to join the newest unit of NCT that they were making at the time - WayV. It was never formally announced to the fans that he was leaving 127 to be in WayV, but he has been inactive in the group since SM moved him. It’s safe to say that NCT127 is a 9 member group now as it has remained this way for the past 5 years.

    • @Strokiemane
      @Strokiemane  Před 4 měsíci +2

I honestly love that they have a recognizable style! I know companies do the most to create buzz, it’s always..interesting…to see how they choose to do it LOL
I’m definitely gonna check out the cherry bomb choreo!
I didn’t notice the added members actually! I saw the 9 in cherry bomb but somehow I didn’t notice there were only 7 of them in fire truck! Thanks for letting me know, I can wait to figure out more!

  • @rebeckaroy6790
    @rebeckaroy6790 Před 4 měsíci +6

I even wish they had shown more of the choreo in the Cherry Bomb MV because it is so iconic but it makes for a great live stage (which I almost always prefer to MVs anyway). NCT in general put a lot of focus on performance and they really shine on the stage. And truly one of the more legendary verses Mark ever wrote....
127 definitely have a distinct sound and each unit does but the b-sides are where they show their real range and variety. (The mini album for Limitless in particular has some real NCT classics). Many people like to go unit by unit which makes a lot of sense. I also recommend another option, going chronologically year by year following releases from each unit as they come.
    For an example in 2016-
April: NCT U - 7th Sense (a mindblowing debut if there ever was one) and Without You
July: NCT 127 with Fire Truck (yes their debut song, another crazy hard choreo)
August: NCT Dream - Chewing Gum
It's probably slightly too complicated but I like that path because it is the way that fans experienced the releases as time went by. But any way that you do it, I hope you really enjoy getting to know NCT. It is well worth the time, there is nobody doing quite like them!

@@Strokiemane It's okay, it's nice to go back through my albums. I will keep it simple and just do it by year. And I will keep to tracks that have a full MV(they do make mini videos called Track Videos for their b-sides) and I won't include collabs or SM Station (digital only singles) either. Here we go from 2017 as I already listed 2016 (don't feel you have to use this):
2017: NCT 127 released Limitless and Cherry Bomb that year (both from mini albums),
Dream released My First and Last, We Young (single and mini album, Jaemin was absent due to injury)
2018: Incredibly busy year as there was a cross-group NCT U album as well as unit activities
NCT U released Empathy album and there were 4 MVs- Boss, Baby Don't Stop, Yestoday and Black on Black
NCT 127 released Touch on that group album and also Chain (from Japanese mini), and their first full album with MVs for Regular and Simon Says
NCT Dream released Go on the big project album and also We Go Up from their mini
2019: We now have WayV debuting so I will list them first. They did Regular (Chinese version), Take Off, Moonwalk and Love Talk.
NCT 127 released Wakey-Wakey (Japanese album), Superhuman, and Highway to Heaven
NCT Dream released Boom (Mark had "graduated" from the group at this point but he will return later)
2020: Another year FULL of releases
NCT 127 - Kick It and Punch (Neo Zone album)
NCT Dream - Ridin (mini album)
WayV - Turn Back Time and Bad Alive (first full album)
NCT U- another big all group project called Resonance with 4 MVx - Make a Wish, From Home, 90s Love and Work It as well as a Mash up track called Resonance
2021: all units and NCT U group stuff
NCT 127 - Loveholic (Japanese mini), Sticker and Favorite (Vampire)
NCT Dream - (all 7 members are back together for first full album) Hot Sauce and Hello Future
      WayV - Kick Back
NCT U - Universe album - Universe (Let's Play Ball) and Beautiful
      2022: NCT 127 - 2 Baddies and Ay-Yo (although that was technically in 2023 I think)
NCT Dream - Glitch Mode and Beatbox and Candy (remake of a classic kpop track on their special winter mini)
WayV - Phantom (right at the end of the year)
2023: NCT DoJaeJung (three members of 127 in a permanent sub-unit) debuted with their mini album Perfume as the title track
      NCT 127 - Fact Check
NCT Dream - ISTJ and Best Friend Ever (first Japanese single)
      WayV - On My Youth
NCT U- another big group album, Golden Age. MVs were Baggy Jeans and Golden Age
2024: Big thing so far this year is the debut of the last unit to be added, NCT Wish (based in Japan). Their debut is called Wish although they did release some pre-debut songs including Hands Up.
I hope that is helpful. If one day you still want to do more there is a whole list with singles etc included here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCT_videography

I have several NCT playlists if you want to use any of them 127/Dream/WayV/U(+solos/covers) MVs, dance practices by unit, behind the scenes by unit & content(skits, etc) by unit, most are in order & actively updated, so feel free to peruse, here's 127's choreo/dance practices: czcams.com/play/PLwNn4CRYvLW0g0eOfHGnvHiwbs6HxMDmi.html
Firetruck confuses people but its really not that complictaed, 127 are the girls 'imaginary friends' that come out when she's angry & cool her off, then she dies(?) at the end & they transfer to her grandson, Firetruck chorea goes hard for absolutely no reason lol, all 4 units debuts are a STATEMENT
All of NCT has a futuristic but 90s vibe in general (not in everything but its just kinda there) so a lot of hiphop & R&B & some styling/MVs are heavily influenced (im one of the few who likes most styling including limitless era) & then made Neo
@10:50 look I saw THAT fancam of Mark doing Cherry Bomb(iykyk) & it got me into NCT & back into kpop so... it may be a meme but Mark is just THAT guy(he's not even my bias but hes so loveable)
@16:40 that's our cutest powerhouse vocalist, Moon Taeil 🙌

this is the MV for Perfume (folllowed by Performance ver, Kiss MV & liveclip for Ordinary): czcams.com/video/7nRiE4sLLxE/video.html the whole perfume album is straight SEX & I highly recommend the whole thing (my fave song is Dive)
