Thanks so much for the blast from the past! I grew up right down the street from Knotts, back in the 50's and 60's, when it was free! This is my favorite place on earth! I loved this video!
Wow. I grew up in Los Angeles in the 80's and 90's. I've been to Knotts it seems like a million times. The train robbery used to be better. They would bust in there screaming and shooting off blanks. It would scare the shit out of us but it was so much fun and entertaining. They've really watered it down. Nothing is fun anymore.
The swaztika in some Native American cultures means peace. It was actually the shoulder patch symbol on the 45th infantry until Hitler's meaning overshadowed it.
@Abby Lowe Yes you're correct. It in several cultures. I thought they might have just had it there as a Native American reference since there is a lot of Old West type stuff there. After Hitler the 45th Infantry changed their shoulder patch to the Thunderbirds which is another Native American reference. We still have some armory buildings that have Swaztikas on them and it is by no means a reference to Hitler or white power.
At one time the Calico Mine train was an exact replica of an extinct Disneyland attraction called Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland which later became Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. It has since been updated and became it's own thing. It still remains the closest thing to riding an early Disney attraction which is long gone.
Adventures with Mike I can buy Dole Whips at the little ice cream stand down the street in the summer. I thought it was a Disney exclusive too, but apparently not for the last several years. Yum!
Glad you liked Knott's. A little bit of wrestling related info: The Wilderness Dance Hall (red barn near the schoolhouse) was once located in Burbank, California and was the home of wrestling in the Los Angeles area during the 1930s - 1950s. It was owned by J. Jeffries a former pro boxer. Wrestlers like Gorgeous George and Strangler Lewis wrestled there. After Jeffries death, Walter Knott bought the building and moved it to Knott's Berry Farm. Next time you visit Knott's you might want to do a little piece on it. Anyways, love watching your videos.
I grew up right around the corner from Knotts Berry farm. Worked there during my high school days. It was really fun in the 80s, with Studio K dance club. We all smoked clove cigarettes and wore our best Gothic attire. Those were good days. I also remember going to the good Time theater in the roaring 20s area and seeing the Difranco family. Oh and the smell of fresh jelly on that old ride Knotts Berry tails. Random memories from a better time.
I grew up in L.A. and we went to Knotts all the time. I’m so glad to see how much of it is almost exactly the same as it was when I was a kid. This video is such bittersweet nostalgia for me, thank you so much for posting it. I hope you do get to go back and ride the log ride, that was always our favorite ride in the park. 😃
Awesome always loved Knotts Berry Farm. Do they still have the can can show in the theatre. I remember going on the mine ride with my Father who was a miner .He got a kick out of it. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
Sad Eye Joe is the coolest thing about this place, and I don't think anyone else does this, right? Well, that's about the craziest gun-fu fight I ever did see!
Carowinds, Kings Island, Kings Dominion, Cedar Point, and Canada's Wonderland are just some of the Cedar Fair parks. One year Jacob needs to get a platinum season pass and see if he can hit them all.
The Cedar Fair Parks are: Cedar Point, Kings Island, Kings Dominion, Knotts Berry Farm, Carowinds, Dorney Park, California’s Great America, and ValleyFair.
That's going to be me! Love my coasters! My home park is King's Island and I often see this older couple, probably in their 70's, riding all of the coasters! Couple goals for my husband and me!
I know this message is a bit late, but I actually worked during Knott's Scary Farm as a monster in 2018 before that, I was a guest for the event for a little less than a decade, I highly recommend going, even if you are a scariest cat, the monsters love interacting with any and all guest that comes!
As kid i always loved more knotts berry farm than disneyland...knotts berry farm has less people and the ride lines where faster! Plus half the price than disney
There is a nice sized Amusment Park in Muskegon Michigan called Michigan's Adventure. Muskegon also has a WW2 Submarine called the USS Silversides that you can walk through. I agree with you about the baby rattlers joke, it's been done to death.
Spurs purpose is to stick into a horse, yes, but their hide is so thick that it feels like a pinch. You would train a horse so that when you poked it with your spur it went faster
I used to go to Knott's for a few days at a time with my uncle. We would see every show at the calico saloon and grab the garters the ladies throw. They eventually stopped throwing garters out until we left
I thought cedar point was one of the oldest amusement parks in the us. Cedar point is great if you are a roller coaster person. Kings island is pretty cool and has some unique rides.
According to the internet Lake Compounce is the oldest park. Cedar point is like the 3rd oldest and then idlewild which is close to me near Pittsburgh. Idlewild is a great historic park as well as kennywood. They are about an hour away from each other and if you like amusement park history you should definitely come here to see these two parks. Highly recommend them both. Kennywood has some rides that are the only ones left of their kinds. Come check it out!
Get yourself to Knoebels Amusement Resort in PA. It has 2 delightful dark rides: a spooktacular haunted house and mine cart that takes you through Centralia.
Hey Jacob love your vlogs and I look forward every day to watching a new adventure some serious and my favourites the ones when they make me laugh which always cheers me up especially after having a shitty day . I really love your Vlogs when you team up with Adam you guys make a very funny pair to watch so more meet ups with Adam Pleaseeeeeeee. Cheers and peace to you and your family From a Aussie with an attitude LOL.😀
Are you ever gonna visit Colorado? I live here and there's a lot of interesting stuff. Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Denver Aquarium, and Dinosaur Depot, just to name a few. Plus if you come around Halloween, there's a super cool haunted house called The 13th Floor in Denver.
When I was a boy, my dad gave the guy at the mike information about me. I sure was surprised. I've done that to others every time I go. I tell my guest to go to the jail and look in and that I have to go to the restroom. I have PREPARED written info about my quest in my pocket, give it to the guy with the mike, tip him and quickly go back to the jail to join my guest. The most amazed are the adults saying, "How does he know that about me?"
Things have changed here. I have a friend who is a train robber. They cannot point guns anymore. Nor can they have "violent" dialogue. I also have a friend who plays sad eye Joe. He tends to mess with people but not too bad.
I think that song, "Cotton Eyed Joe", stick and it became a running gag, for criminals that have "Eye" in them! It comes to mind honestly. It's nice place to go. Thank you for making a tour, with AdamTheWoo! What was your favorite attraction and/or place in Knotts Berry Farm, Carpetbagger Jacob?
When I was in Grade Primary, I watched a boy sitting in a mud puddle in his full snowsuit drinking the muddy water (which also had litter in it) through a straw... ew... 😷 That roller coaster doesn't look too bad; I've seen more vigorous... looks like fun, though... Geez, I thought for a second those kids were going to take off with your camera...! 😮
Meanwhile in the rest of California no one else ever serves a full sentence....except Sad Eyed Joe! I’m always surprised kids don’t mess with your camera like they did here. Being from here now I just think kids here are a bit ruder then most. Be careful Jacob lay it down with the wrong kids around & they’ll steal out from under your nose. Yes, Knott’s Scary Farm is a must! They turn the dark rides into haunted rides!
That guy voicing sad eye sounds like he was face down drooling on the table right before you came to talk to him lol.
@secondswell does a guy sit there just to be his voice ?!
@@lorissarea2787 yes, you can actually see the guy in the front window you pass before reaching sad eyes prison
rexrabbiteer interesting
I love Knotts Berry man.. especially the Ghost Town. Can’t wait to get back there
Thanks for posting my show! I hope you had fun!
Thanks so much for the blast from the past! I grew up right down the street from Knotts, back in the 50's and 60's, when it was free! This is my favorite place on earth! I loved this video!

Thank you all, I don't like letting one jackass steal a beautiful symbol in order to pervert it.
RhettyforFun not only that, but the image would be switched when branded onto the cow
Alexandria Romanov used to sew the symbol onto quilts.
The curiosity of children at the end....Heartwarming...
I worked for knotts... It was actually fun lol
It has to be more fun than Disneyland, but I wouldn't know.

Wow. Those animatronics were actually INSANELY impressive!
Really enjoyed that Jacob, good fun, nice to see Adam too, love the themeing there, those kids at the end 😂 xxx
Jacob, its funny for a guy that goes to sooo many theme parks, you sure don't like roller coasters very much.
and he has now rode most of them.
Yea!!! Jacob and AdamtheWoo together again!!!!! 👍
Double trouble the carpetbager and the daily woo
The Launching Pad will be serving Dole Whips too very shortly. I thought they were a Disney exclusive too.
Adventures with Mike I can buy Dole Whips at the little ice cream stand down the street in the summer. I thought it was a Disney exclusive too, but apparently not for the last several years. Yum!
thats not a swastika brand its from the wild west prior to the birth of the nazi party which makes it the native american symbol for peace ironically
native americans used it for hundreds of yrs.
Oh my .. Jacob you make a visit to a park a real treat.. thank you so much

That Mom at the end was really good to the kids about messing with the camera and got them away from it pretty quick.

the body in the hearst used to get up
bullet hole on his forehead, he would turn to look at you and lay back down. it was really creepy but I miss it
Never been to California. But if I ever do get out there, I wanna visit Knotts
Both Knotts Berry Farm and Holiday World are great theme parks and I'm glad you've experienced them both now.
loved it. My family would go to knotts way back in the 60's, it was free to get in, and chickens ran around in the parking lot, love knotts.
Woooow , Jacob Seinfeld over here with the puns n jokes in his intro 👌😆😝
I found an old Knott's Berry farm map from the 50's with some old vacations slides and Shell road maps at my grandparents house once
Best video I've watched in a long time on CZcams, thanks Jacob, you rock!
The train robbery was more like.comedy hour. 🤣🤣 Although tacos can b very distracting sometimes. 🌮 😍
The Wild West show looks great. Your reaction to the coaster was something else. The Native American show looked cool too
love what the mom said at the end. he is taking a picture and he does not want your face.
That sounds like it could be the title of a Sufjan Stevens song.
I love his music
The school had great history, great job Jacob!

I grew up going to knott's berry farm, i really miss it!! I actually went there on a field trip too when learning about the gold rush era.

California’s Great America is also a Cedar Fair Park and Gilroy Gardens is run by Cedar Fair.
Nice! sounds like the western show is actually using the soundtrack score to Seth McFarlane's movie "A million ways to die in the west" Really cool!

This was fun to watch. I hope to visit Knott's Berry one day. Nice seeing you and Adam together!
The ending 🤣🤣🤣
17:07 I would hate to work on that ride and have to hear those horns all day
Where did you get that shirt though!?!?!
What a great place, Jacob. Enjoyed your video!
the corpse in the carriage at 19:47 used to lift itself up with a bullet hole in his forehead, turn to look at you and lay back down. miss that effect
The train robbers back in the 70's would come in with guns firing. I can still remember it.
Excellenta.......
Camden Park Huntington West Virginia small park but loads of fun really old wood roller coaster also
Next time you are at knotts you need to find the Catawampus. Its a tree stump that moo's at you.

Wait, where is this place? I don't think you said. I always thought Knott's Berry Farm was a normal amusement park, but I guess not. Wacky!
“....comin atchoo live from the great state of California, more specifically Buena Park in Orange County.”
Things have changed here. I have a friend who is a train robber. They cannot point guns anymore. Nor can they have "violent" dialogue. I also have a friend who plays sad eye Joe. He tends to mess with people but not too bad.
Cedar Point is the best in the world! Let me know when you are going so I can meet you!
That ending :)
Did anyone else giggle when Adam said, "I want some In and Out",?
They also own Dorney Park near Allentown, PA
3:07 🤣
I think that song, "Cotton Eyed Joe", stick and it became a running gag, for criminals that have "Eye" in them!
It comes to mind honestly.
It's nice place to go.
Thank you for making a tour, with AdamTheWoo!

Poor ol' Sad Eye.
Love. Been several decades since I've been.
Cause your vision is one of the most important things
if you come back to northern california, california's great america near san francisco is an awesome cedar fair park! (but not open year around)
Kings island Halloween haunt you have to come to

Yes, Knott’s Scary Farm is a must! They turn the dark rides into haunted rides!
I think Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio is one of the oldest it started in 1870
