I'm looking for a WiFi solution for a large property this looks like it should work quite nicely. A note about PoE. This device comes with a PoE injector (the little block with 2 RJ45 ports and a port for the power supply) If you have an Ethernet switch with PoE ports (such as TP-Link TL-SF1005P V2 | 5 Port Fast Ethernet PoE Switch | 4 PoE+ Ports @67W | Desktop | Plug & Play | Sturdy Metal w/ Shie... TP-Link TL-SF1005P V2 $39) you can simply plug into that and do away with the little PoE injector. (Make sure you LAN cable has all 8 wires terminated in the connector, some network cables do not have all 8 wires in place)
Fine description and quite convincing. I'll give it a try. Have to bring the LAN to the outside of the house in order to get decent wi-fi coverage in the garden.
I think you forgot an important step - like actually showing a connection to a real home rather than a kitchen table set up. For example, did you mount the antenna on your living room wall? If not, I'm guessing some wiring from your router and AC was necessary to make an outdoor connection workable. It's not quite as simple as you show.
trying to setup in a cargo trailerwith the antenna rite on top internet works with doors open but with doors closed no internet. so I got the wavlink router I guess I have to put in router mode?Nice antenna but when paired with router it gets real confusing if routers not hooked up with internet already, Im in the process of trying outher routers to see if setup is eny easier. vidios oid but a good one THANKS

Hello, I installed my Wavlink AC 1200 a month ago. Initially, it was placed in my hallway, but it consistently lost signal after about an hour of use, even after multiple resets. I have since moved it outside, but the issue persists. Despite the signal loss, the LED indicators on the Wavlink light up properly, showing that the repeater is on and the Wi-Fi is connected. However, the network Wi-Fi does not appear when I search for it. I'm unsure if this issue is due to the Ethernet cable being very long or because it passes through two RJ45 sockets. Can you please help me?
I was able to hook everything up properly and it works. The problem I have is that when I click on the "Manage Router" it sends me directly to my home hub instead of the Wavlink router setup. My wi-fi works but my wi-fi is open to anyone (no security password). I don't know how to get around this, can someone help?
Nice Review. Coincidentally I am also want to extend my WiFi signal from my house to workshop which is 50 meters far away. Then I read this WAVLINK WN570HA1 can solve this problem and act as WiFi Range extender. I confuse about it coverage area. In specs on their official website says can coverage area up to 2 km. And in your review says 500 meters. But, I watch another youtuber's review, and from what he showed and test the maximum of the coverage are is 600 feet, which equals to 182,8 meters. He done it outside on grassland without barrier. Have you ever done measurement test of the real maxsimum coverage area?
Thank you again for your very helpful video! I have just got one but seem to be having issues with it switching over from one wifi to another and it stopping the front downstairs switch from working for 10 mins not sure why! Thanks!
i have this doubt i have one router i will connect the router with this wifi range extender in the range of 2 km my all mobile(22) should able to connect with the router by using this range extender is that possible ?
Nice review, do you have any idea what hight outside this can be mounted to get a signal from 300m away, if mounted to high will it miss the signal? Cheers 🍻
Thanks for another great helpful video! Just wondering why my setup I cannot auto connect to the best signals and I have to do it manually is there anything I can do to fix this issue?
Hi if I had a maxview Roam x connected in my motor and it's about 100mts from my home and I want to get the WiFi to my house as I don't want to pay for to Internets would this work to pick up the WiFi from the motorhome to the house and what would I connect it too, I have a bt hub not using would that work, thanks martin
Looking at buying one of these. If I plug this into my router can it be setup so that the network names and logins are identical to the original router? I would like to be able to seemlessly transition from the routers wifi to this device without changing logins.
I have a newer version of AC600, but it is impossible to access the configuration page on the device. So long as want an open network for everyone is fine. Support does not answer any questions. I should not recommend this to anyone to not live far from civilization or is ok that other use your network.
is there a way to just use it as a bonus antena for my router to extend the wifi range so that i don't have to disconnect my stuff from the router to this thing? Because when i do that, then i can't see what device are connected to my routeur.
Does this assume that you have a power outlet outside or do I have to run the ethernet cable out of my bedroom window and hope that it is long enough? I am trying to find the best solution to extend my Wifi coverage to my back yard so I can have my telescope controlled by my laptop which unfortunately at this time is not getting the wifi signal from inside my house.
Got the AC600 to connect and show a lock icon, however on my phone I get the signal strength "fan" with a ! next to it. Why?? It does not work as if we're offline.
Since you set this up indoors, did you test your connection with your phone outside? We want to extend our wifi range to about 500 feet but want to install the Wavlink inside. We have a couple of cameras that we really need stronger signals to which are just under 500 feet. What is the main difference in choice of setup (repeater vs. lan)? A bit confusing.
The lan option allows you to wire to the antenna which can then go further from your house and then broadcast a signal from greater distances from the house. The repeater mode means it takes your existing Wi-Fi signal and then repeats it , slightly less distance it can cover as it needs to be within the existing Wi-Fi signal, your best option if possible is to run a lan cable to it as this gets a better distance. I’m currently getting 300m range in open air from my phone to the aerial.
Absolutely fabulous demonstration upon this device! Please send a link or a new link or new address as to where I can find this particular TP ap or something similar to it or very much like it thank you
Can i create a wifi in 500 meter radius area with this device? speed requirement is very low, just need network in 500 meter radius area. Thanks in Advance
Sir is there any workaround on how i can set this functional as a repeater for my access point, i mean it works as a repeater but only connects within my login portal but not necessarily connected to my AP. mY good old indoor TPLINK is working fine as a repeater with wds function.
Hi i have problem with device can you help me please. It drops internet connection. I have tested with 60 feet cable and 40 feet. Have updated firmware and rested. Still same problem
Perhaps initially test with a short cable the one you get with it. Also do you want a Google home connected to it? Because that could cause instability.
How maximally far it could be from the router, to extend its signal, i.e. to work effectively in repeater mode? Does the signal goes through concrete walls, because there are buyers, especially on AliExpress, who claim it isn't effective at all, and that signal is weak or the connection is slow even behind a single wall. In your opinion is it better and with stonger signal than an extender like D-Link DAP 1325 for example or is it the same? Thanks in advance for the answer!
Thanks for the comment much appreciated! Only if you use the power plugs to get the internet over there via ethernet, and then use the extender for WiFi.

when you move from the main AP to this repeater AP, does the device know to switch over? I am concerned that when you are in between the two APs, the device will bounce between them, making it difficult to have a consistent connection.
I'm trying to work out the same thing. I really want a seemless transition from one source to another with the same login details for main ap and this ap.
Yes it does. It's seamless. I been using mine 3 months and works like a charm. I have mine in the garage and switching from main router to the ap linked wavlink is seamless. Can't even tell you switched.
Geek Street it's 180meter optical view without any buildings or some think else between the houses (modem is inside the house 1wall only) do you believe it's possible to work?
~500 feet is near the limit of these but may work. If the remote location is inside a building that is going to interfere. It would be possible using two devices. Using one as a router or Access Point connected to your current router and the other set up as an Access Point or in WISP mode at the remote location. You would need AC power in the remote location.
Can I detect a nearby wifi network and then extend it at home (without physical access to the modem it broadcasts)? another question: could you replace an antenna (2.4gh) and insert a directional to receive more distant signals (receive from a distance and retransmit at home)? thank you so much
For the first question not possible, as you have to be able to connect to the other WiFi network to extend, for the second question no reason why that can't be done.
I wanted to say that I detect the network and I know the password but I do not have physical access to the modem, so I could do everything via wifi, right? I have another question, the 2 antennas of the AP transmit and receive at the same time or 1 transmit while the other receives? I ask you this to understand (eventually) which of the 2 replace with a directional antenna. Many thanks!
Many thanks, I find discordant comments on this device, some people say "fantastic" others "it's terrible", in all honesty, would you recommend it? My use is in repeater mode .. Thanks for your patience
Does this device work seamlessly with SSID swapping, in Repeater/AP or any other mode. What I mean by this, say you go from one area to another will the device (phone/laptop/tablet) go for the strongest source, or unlike a MESH network do you have to physically switch from one SSID to the other. Thanks

Where is the best place to put the wavlink close to the router or close to where you want the WiFi signal
Thanks for the comment. Its best for it to be closer to the router.
Geek Street thanks for reply. If I got 2 wavlink would it make my WiFi stronger from 1 router
No it doesn't work like that, better to just get one first and see how you get on.
Geek Street Is it better to get the wavlink higher the better or not
Gary Barker tricky one as you want to experiment with it. On the location initially.
